Salary: $125,000–$175,000 per year

Sanctuary Hotel, a stylish boutique hotel in the heart of Manhattan’s vibrant Times Square, is seeking an experienced, dynamic, and hands-on Hotel General Manager to lead our team and elevate the guest experience.

We’re looking for a hospitality leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, knows how to motivate a team, and understands that exceptional service and strong financial performance go hand in hand.

What you will be doing

  • Oversee all aspects of daily hotel operations, ensuring exceptional guest experiences and operational excellence.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop department managers and team members while fostering a positive, accountable work environment.
  • Drive revenue, profitability, and overall hotel performance through effective financial management and strategic planning.
  • Manage budgets, forecasting, labor costs, and operating expenses while maximizing profitability.
  • Monitor key performance indicators, including occupancy, ADR, RevPAR, guest satisfaction, and labor productivity.
  • Work closely with the ownership team to execute business objectives and operational initiatives.
  • Maintain high standards of service, cleanliness, property presentation, and brand identity.
  • Collaborate with Food & Beverage leadership to ensure seamless coordination between hotel operations and our dining and rooftop venues.
  • Address guest concerns proactively and create memorable experiences that encourage repeat business.
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, increase revenue, and strengthen team performance.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable safety, employment, and hospitality regulations.

What you bring to the table

  • Minimum 5 years of progressive hotel management experience, including significant leadership experience as a General Manager, Assistant General Manager, or Hotel Manager.
  • Strong background in boutique, lifestyle, upscale, or luxury hotel environments.
  • Experience managing hotel operations in a competitive urban market; New York City experience is highly preferred.
  • Proven ability to manage budgets, P&L statements, forecasting, and revenue performance.
  • Strong understanding of Rooms Division operations, guest services, housekeeping, and hotel maintenance.
  • Experience working with Food & Beverage operations is a plus.
  • Exceptional leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • A hands-on management style with a genuine passion for hospitality.
  • Ability to thrive in a high-energy environment while maintaining professionalism and attention to detail.
  • A results-driven mindset with the ability to balance guest satisfaction, employee engagement, and profitability.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as business needs require.
