WE ARE HIRING: Assistant Manager – HR

Location: Colombo 05, Sri Lanka (On-site)

Employment Type: Full-time

Role Overview

We are looking for an Assistant Manager – HR who is passionate about working with people and creating meaningful employee experiences. This role goes beyond policies and hiring, focusing on building trust, supporting growth, and fostering a positive workplace culture while balancing empathy with business needs.

The role plays a key part in shaping how people join, grow, and thrive within the organization and acts as a trusted partner to both employees and leaders.

Key Responsibilities

Talent Acquisition & Onboarding

  • Create inclusive and engaging hiring experiences from sourcing through onboarding.
  • Build and manage talent pipelines to support current and future IT hiring needs.

Employee Engagement & Development

  • Support employees through performance discussions, engagement initiatives, and career development.
  • Identify skill gaps and training needs, recommending appropriate training programs and development plans.

HR Operations & Employee Relations

  • Develop and continuously improve HR policies and processes aligned with people and business goals.
  • Act as a trusted point of contact for employee relations and HR-related matters.
  • Manage HR documentation and liaise with relevant government and official bodies as required.

Qualifications & Experience

Educational Qualifications

  • Bachelors Degree or Professional Qualification in Human Resources Management.

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years experience in HR and Recruitment.
  • Prior experience within the IT industry will be preferred.

Skills & Other Requirements

  • People-first mindset with strong ownership and integrity.
  • Excellent communication skills with strong English proficiency.
  • Ability to work effectively with global and offshore teams.
  • Confidence in guiding employees and leaders on HR and people-related matters.
  • Willingness to work on-site in Colombo 05 and travel as required.
