WE ARE HIRING: Trainee Accounts Executive

Location: Rajagiriya, Sri Lanka

Employment Type: Full-Time

About the Role

Our client is seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Trainee Accounts Executive to join its Finance team. This is an excellent opportunity for an aspiring accounting professional to gain hands-on exposure to accounting operations, bookkeeping, financial documentation, and business processes within a diversified corporate environment.

The ideal candidate should possess a strong interest in accounting, excellent computer literacy, and a willingness to learn and grow within the finance profession.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day accounting and bookkeeping activities.
  • Assist in maintaining accurate financial records and documentation.
  • Support accounts payable, accounts receivable, and reconciliation activities.
  • Assist in preparing financial reports and schedules.
  • Maintain proper filing and documentation of accounting records.
  • Support finance team members with accounting and administrative tasks.
  • Assist with data entry and updating accounting systems.
  • Coordinate with internal departments to obtain required financial information.
  • Ensure accuracy and completeness of accounting records.
  • Support month-end and year-end finance activities as required.

Requirements

  • G.C.E. Advanced Level qualification in the Commerce stream with Accounting as a subject.
  • Part qualification in AAT, CA Sri Lanka, CIMA, ACCA, or an equivalent professional qualification.
  • Basic knowledge of accounting principles and bookkeeping practices.
  • Excellent computer literacy with proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
  • Good command of written and spoken English.
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Good organizational and time-management skills.
  • Pleasant personality with strong teamwork and interpersonal skills.
  • Willingness to learn and develop within the accounting profession.
  • Valid riding licence is mandatory.
