WE ARE HIRING: Field Sales Executive

Location: Colombo, Sri Lanka (Field-Based)

Employment Type: Full-Time

Work Arrangement: 95% Field-Based with occasional outstation travel

About the Role

Our client is seeking an energetic and results-oriented Field Sales Executive to drive sales growth, strengthen customer relationships, and expand market presence within the footwear sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing B2B customer relationships, identifying new business opportunities, and ensuring the achievement of sales and distribution targets.

This role is ideal for a sales professional who enjoys working in the field, building customer networks, and driving business growth in a fast-paced environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Execute sales strategies to achieve revenue and distribution targets.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with B2B customers and trade partners.
  • Identify and onboard new customers to expand the business portfolio.
  • Monitor sales performance and provide regular market feedback to management.
  • Collaborate with supply chain, finance, and logistics teams to ensure efficient product availability and delivery.
  • Gather market intelligence on customer requirements, industry trends, and competitor activities.
  • Ensure effective sales execution and maintain strong customer engagement.
  • Support business growth initiatives through proactive sales and relationship management activities.
  • Maintain accurate sales records and reports.
  • Contribute to the achievement of overall business objectives and sales targets.

Requirements

  • GCE Advanced Level qualification or a Diploma in Business Administration.
  • Professional qualification from SLIM will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 2-3 years of experience in field sales.
  • Experience in the footwear industry will be a strong advantage.
  • Exposure to footwear manufacturing adhesives, chemicals, or related products is highly preferred.
  • Strong understanding of retail sales, customer engagement, and trade operations.
  • Familiarity with general trade and B2B sales environments.
  • Knowledge of merchandising standards and sales reporting practices.
  • Proven track record of achieving sales targets and developing new customer portfolios.
  • Strong interpersonal, communication, and negotiation skills.
  • Ability to build rapport with customers and maintain long-term relationships.
  • Organized, proactive, and capable of working independently.
  • Willingness to travel extensively and manage field sales activities.
  • Good English communication skills.
