About the Role

Our client is seeking an experienced and results-driven Quality Assurance Manager to lead the Quality Assurance function and drive a strong quality culture across the organization. This role will be responsible for ensuring that products, processes, and systems consistently meet customer expectations, regulatory requirements, and internal quality standards.

The successful candidate will play a key role in maintaining and continuously improving the Quality Management System (QMS), reducing quality-related losses, driving continuous improvement initiatives, and developing a high-performing quality team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the Quality Assurance function and foster a strong quality culture throughout the organization.
  • Ensure products and processes consistently meet customer, statutory, regulatory, and company requirements.
  • Maintain and continuously improve the Quality Management System (QMS).
  • Establish quality objectives, KPIs, and improvement plans.
  • Monitor incoming material quality, in-process quality controls, and final product quality.
  • Drive initiatives to reduce rejection rates, rework, customer complaints, and quality-related production losses.
  • Lead root cause analysis investigations and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPA).
  • Coordinate internal, customer, certification, and external quality audits.
  • Ensure effective control of quality documentation and records.
  • Develop the competency of the Quality team through coaching, mentoring, and training programmes.
  • Develop and implement annual Quality Assurance plans and improvement initiatives.
  • Review product specifications, inspection plans, and testing requirements.
  • Investigate internal and external quality failures and customer complaints.
  • Monitor rejection, rework, scrap rates, defects, and first-pass yield performance.
  • Coordinate with Production and Technical teams to improve process capability and product quality.
  • Evaluate and monitor supplier quality performance in collaboration with Procurement.
  • Ensure calibration and verification of measuring and testing equipment.
  • Maintain quality procedures, SOPs, work instructions, inspection formats, and records.
  • Coordinate ISO and QMS audits and ensure timely closure of audit findings.
  • Prepare monthly quality reports and management information dashboards.
  • Identify quality risks and implement preventive measures.
  • Promote problem-solving initiatives, standardization, 5S, and continuous improvement practices.

Requirements

  • Degree in Quality Management, Engineering, Science, Manufacturing, or a related discipline.
  • Professional qualifications in Quality Management, ISO Standards, Auditing, or related disciplines will be an added advantage.
  • Minimum 5-10 years of relevant Quality Assurance or Quality Control experience.
  • Experience within cable, wire, electrical, harness manufacturing, or similar industrial sectors is highly preferred.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity.
  • Strong knowledge of Quality Management Systems (QMS) and ISO standards.
  • Hands-on experience in Root Cause Analysis, CAPA, and continuous improvement methodologies.
  • Experience conducting internal and external quality audits.
  • Strong understanding of process quality control and supplier quality management.
  • Experience managing customer complaints, quality investigations, and corrective actions.
  • Knowledge of statistical quality tools and quality performance measurement techniques.
  • Strong analytical and data interpretation skills.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Excellent leadership, communication, coaching, and stakeholder management skills.
