Location: Sri Lanka (Remote – USA Working Hours) Employment Type: Full Time Industry: Apparel Manufacturing

Role Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Sales Analyst to support business performance through sales reporting, inventory analysis, merchandise planning, and business intelligence initiatives. The successful candidate will play a critical role in transforming data into actionable insights by developing reports, dashboards, sales forecasts, and financial merchandise plans that support operational decision-making and business growth. This role is ideal for a data-driven professional who enjoys problem-solving, process improvement, and working within a fast-paced international business environment.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and maintain daily and weekly sales reports to support business performance monitoring.
  • Design, develop, and generate ad-hoc reports required for management reviews and market meetings.
  • Analyze sales trends and performance data to provide meaningful business insights.
  • Manage inventory analysis, sales forecasting, and financial merchandise planning activities.
  • Monitor stock levels and provide recommendations to optimize inventory performance and profitability.
  • Create business intelligence reports that provide visibility into key operational and financial metrics.
  • Develop dashboards, automated reports, macros, and analytical tools to improve reporting efficiency.
  • Identify reporting gaps, process inefficiencies, and business improvement opportunities.
  • Act as an escalation point to identify root causes of issues and implement effective analytical solutions.
  • Provide data-driven insights that support operational, commercial, and strategic decision-making.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams to support business planning and performance management initiatives.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement initiatives related to reporting, analytics, and business performance monitoring.

Candidate Profile

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Management, Statistics, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in Retail Planning, Merchandise Planning, Allocation, Financial Analysis, or a similar analytical role.
  • Strong analytical, problem-solving, and data interpretation capabilities.
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Excel, including formulas, pivot tables, charts, graphs, and financial reporting.
  • Knowledge of Power BI, Tableau, or other business intelligence platforms will be an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English.
  • Ability to work effectively in a high-performance, cross-functional environment with demanding timelines.
  • Strong organizational and time-management skills.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deliver under pressure.
  • Self-motivated, resourceful, and capable of working independently as well as within a team environment.
  • Comfortable working remotely while aligning with USA business hours.
