You’ll shape how we bring our most important shows to audiences, building awareness, sparking conversation and driving viewing across Broadcast and Streaming.

You’ll own campaigns from strategy and briefing through to delivery and evaluation, working across the full marketing funnel. From bold and noisy advertising and media investment to ambitious creative campaigns, you’ll know how to bring channels together to deliver impact. You’ll have extensive experience developing and delivering standout creative, from original shoots and talent-led campaigns to innovative clip-based work that makes the most of ITV’s content.

At the heart of the role is the ability to set a clear strategic direction, write brilliant briefs and turn ambitious ideas into exceptional campaigns. We’re looking for an experienced, commercially minded marketer who combines strategic thinking, creative ambition and excellent delivery skills. You’ll be confident leading complex, high-value campaigns, influencing very senior stakeholders and managing people, while ensuring our biggest marketing investments deliver meaningful results.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead ITV’s biggest integrated marketing campaigns, owning high-profile, multi-million-pound campaigns from strategy and briefing through to delivery, optimisation and evaluation. Set a clear direction, establish objectives and ensure campaigns deliver against audience and commercial goals.
  • Lead Marketing strategy and write exceptional briefs, translating content propositions, audience insight, market intelligence and cultural opportunities into clear, compelling marketing briefs. Define the target audience, proposition, key messages, objectives and measures of success, using our audience-first framework.

Navigate competing priorities, challenge constructively and secure alignment around campaign strategy, creative direction and investment decisions.
  • Support the Head of Marketing, contributing to strategic planning, campaign prioritisation and resource decisions. Bring a clear point of view, identify opportunities to raise the ambition and effectiveness of our work, and provide confidence in the delivery of our most important campaigns.
  • Lead and develop people, setting clear direction, supporting professional development and creating a high-performing team environment. Provide effective management, constructive feedback and coaching while maintaining high standards across campaign delivery.
  • Use insight and performance data to optimise campaigns, drawing on audience research, market intelligence, media performance and campaign results to inform decisions, demonstrate impact and identify opportunities to improve effectiveness.
  • Manage substantial budgets and complex delivery, ensuring investment is used effectively, resources are allocated appropriately and campaigns are delivered to a high standard. Anticipate risks, resolve challenges and maintain momentum across multiple workstreams.
  • Build strong relationships with Commissioning and internal teams, ensuring clear and focused content propositions sit at the heart of campaign strategy and identifying the editorial hooks and audience motivations that marketing can amplify.
  • Stay ahead of the market, monitoring competitor activity, cultural trends, audience behaviours and changes in the media landscape to identify opportunities for ITV and inform future campaign planning.
  • Champion ITV’s brand positioning, ensuring campaigns reflect ITV’s tone of voice and There’s No Place Like ITV platform, while allowing individual shows and campaigns to stand out.
  • Champion best practice across Marketing, sharing expertise, raising standards and helping develop effective, insight-led approaches to campaign strategy, creative development, media integration and evaluation.

  • Significant experience developing ambitious creative campaigns, including original shoots, talent-led creative and clip-based work. Able to take ideas from initial concept through creative development, production and final delivery.
  • Strong full-funnel marketing expertise, with experience across above-the-line advertising, including TV, outdoor and other brand-building channels, alongside digital and performance marketing. Able to shape integrated plans that deliver awareness, consideration and viewing objectives.
  • Extensive experience working with creative and media agencies, setting strategic direction, challenging thinking, developing strong partnerships and ensuring work delivers against ambitious creative, audience and commercial objectives.
  • Confident stakeholder management and influencing skills, with experience working with very senior stakeholders, navigating competing agendas, challenging constructively and securing alignment on complex decisions.
  • Proven people management experience, with the ability to lead, motivate and develop colleagues, set clear expectations, delegate effectively and maintain high standards of performance and delivery.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen, with experience managing substantial marketing budgets, making investment decisions, allocating resources and evaluating return on investment.
  • Strong analytical and audience insight skills, with the ability to interpret research, media data and campaign results, draw meaningful conclusions and use evidence to shape strategy and demonstrate impact.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, able to articulate a clear strategic point of view, present recommendations, influence senior decisions and translate complex information into actionable plans.
  • Exceptional project management skills, with the ability to lead complex campaigns end to end, manage multiple workstreams, anticipate risks and deliver to challenging deadlines.
  • A strong understanding of television, entertainment and the UK TV marketplace, including audience behaviours, viewing trends, content discovery and the competitive landscape.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
