This senior leadership role transforms complex, high-volume data into actionable insights that shape marketing strategy and business performance. You’ll lead data science and analytics initiatives that support strategic decisions, program development, and large-scale business priorities. The role combines advanced statistical modeling, forecasting, data management, and business analysis with executive-level communication. You’ll work across functions to connect diverse data sources and turn analytical findings into clear recommendations and measurable outcomes. As a people leader, you’ll guide data science professionals while fostering collaboration, innovation, and continuous development. Accountabilities
- Lead the development and execution of data science and analytics initiatives that support strategic and tactical business objectives.
- Transform large volumes of structured and unstructured data into meaningful insights, analytical solutions, and business recommendations.
- Develop, maintain, and organize data sets required for analysis, reporting, forecasting, and strategic decision-making.
- Create sophisticated reports, projections, statistical models, analytical tools, and executive presentations to support business strategy.
- Develop and validate statistical forecasting models and analytical methodologies used to inform programs and business decisions.
- Interpret complex analytical findings and translate them into clear, actionable recommendations for technical teams, business partners, and executive decision-makers.
- Provide strategic input into functional priorities, goals, objectives, and long-term analytics direction.
- Lead the implementation of new or enhanced programs, analytical capabilities, and large-scale initiatives across the function.
- Manage and mentor data science and analytics professionals, providing direction, coaching, prioritization, and opportunities for professional development.
- Foster a collaborative, innovative environment that encourages analytical rigor, continuous improvement, and effective knowledge sharing.
- Partner with cross-functional stakeholders to identify business opportunities, define analytical approaches, and improve organizational performance.
- Apply data management, mining, manipulation, and advanced analytics techniques to uncover trends, opportunities, and risks.
- Support the development of technical and operational processes that strengthen analytics capabilities and business outcomes.
- Master’s degree in a quantitative discipline such as Computer Science, Mathematics, Statistics, or a related field, combined with at least 6 years of relevant professional experience.
- At least 5 years of leadership experience, including experience guiding individual contributors and leading complex analytical initiatives.
- Demonstrated ability to leverage large structured and unstructured data sets to generate tactical and strategic business insights.
- Strong experience developing, validating, and applying statistical forecasting models and analytical tools.
- Ability to interpret complex analytical results and communicate insights effectively to both analytical and non-analytical audiences, including executive decision-makers.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate technical concepts into clear business recommendations.
- Strong business judgment, strategic thinking, and problem-solving capabilities.
- Flexible and collaborative leadership style, with the ability to work effectively in teams while independently driving priorities and initiatives.
- Passion for using data and analytics to improve consumer experiences and business performance.
- Experience in healthcare or managed care is preferred.
- PhD in a quantitative or related discipline is preferred.
- Experience with SAS, QlikView, SQL, PL/SQL, MATLAB, or comparable statistical and analytics technologies is preferred.
- Experience with data management, data mining, data manipulation, and advanced analytics is preferred.
- Competitive annual base salary of $189,400–$260,500, with individual compensation determined by location, skills, experience, education, certifications, and other job-related factors.
