The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Territory Distribution Manager based in United States.

This field-based role is responsible for driving distribution growth and account development across the West Coast and Mountain States. You will manage and expand a network of certified accessibility dealers, independent elevator contractors, builders, architects, and other key industry partners. The position combines strategic territory planning, channel sales, technical consultation, and hands-on customer engagement. You will represent a broad portfolio of accessibility and home mobility solutions, including residential elevators, LU/LA elevators, vertical platform lifts, and home lifts. Success will depend on building strong regional relationships, developing project pipelines, and securing specifications early in the construction process. The role offers significant autonomy across a multi-state territory and requires frequent travel to customers, job sites, industry events, and trade shows.

Accountabilities:

  • Manage, nurture, and expand relationships with existing certified dealers and independent lift contractors across the Pacific and Mountain regions.
  • Identify, recruit, qualify, and onboard new installation dealers in strategic expansion markets.
  • Partner with dealer sales representatives on customer consultations, technical job-site reviews, and end-user design presentations to support residential and light commercial project wins.
  • Deliver hands-on training to dealer sales teams covering product specifications, quoting tools, site requirements, and competitive positioning.
  • Build relationships with architects, interior designers, general contractors, accessibility consultants, and other project stakeholders to secure early-stage and proprietary specifications.
  • Conduct AIA-certified continuing education presentations and Lunch & Learns for design firms and regional building associations.
  • Use construction tracking platforms to identify upcoming luxury residential developments and light commercial projects requiring accessibility and vertical mobility solutions.
  • Provide technical pre-sales guidance related to applicable accessibility, elevator, and lift codes and requirements.
  • Act as a liaison between distributors and internal customer care and production teams to ensure projects progress smoothly and customer expectations are met.
  • Develop and execute a regional territory business plan aligned with annual revenue, unit volume, and margin objectives.
  • Maintain accurate pipeline management, opportunity tracking, and sales activity within the CRM.
  • Represent the organization at regional building expos, industry conferences, architectural trade shows, and other relevant events.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Construction Management, Marketing, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent industry experience.
  • 3–5+ years of outside B2B or channel sales experience within building products, architectural hardware, vertical transportation, accessibility equipment, or a related industry.
  • Demonstrated success growing revenue and managing dealer or channel relationships across multi-state territories.
  • Working knowledge of residential and commercial accessibility requirements, including ASME A17.1, ASME A18.1, ADA, and applicable state and local codes.
  • Ability to read and interpret architectural blueprints, CAD elevations, framing details, and hoistway section drawings.
  • Understanding of market dynamics across urban West Coast markets as well as luxury residential and mountain or resort markets.
  • Strong organizational, consultative selling, business development, and relationship-building skills.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with installation crews, dealers, contractors, architects, designers, and high-net-worth homeowners.
  • Strong technical aptitude and ability to translate product specifications and code requirements into practical project guidance.
  • Willingness and ability to travel approximately 50% throughout the assigned territory.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Ability to work independently in a field-based environment while maintaining strong collaboration with internal teams.
  • Full-time field-based/remote position covering the West Coast and Mountain States.
  • Opportunity to manage a large multi-state territory spanning California, Oregon, Washington, Nevada, Arizona, Idaho, Utah, Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and New Mexico.
  • Significant autonomy in territory planning, business development, and channel growth.
  • Opportunity to work with certified dealers, contractors, architects, designers, builders, and homeowners across diverse markets.
  • Exposure to accessibility, vertical transportation, residential construction, luxury homebuilding, and light commercial projects.
  • Hands-on involvement in technical consultations, dealer development, product training, and industry events.
  • Travel opportunities across a broad Western U.S. territory.
  • No specific salary or additional benefits were provided in the source job description.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
