GIS DevOps Engineer

Organisatie De opdrachtgever is een regionale Nederlandse Netbeheerder die voornamelijk in de Randstad opereert. Ze is verantwoordelijk voor het transport van elektriciteit en gas naar circa 2 miljoen huishoudens en industriële klanten.

Functie eisen

  • Dutch native speakers only
  • Gerichte motivatie verplicht ingaande op alle gestelde eisen
  • Onder een Cv verstaan wij een overzicht van de werkervaring van de kandidaat. Dit in het Nederlands opgesteld en in Word of PDF-formaat van maximaal 5 pagina's A4
  • Het Cv is voorzien van referenties (naam, functie en contactgegevens referent) of deze kunnen op aanvraag aangeleverd worden
  • Kandidaat dient de Nederlandse taal machtig te zijn in woord en geschrift
  • Kandidaat beschikt over Hbo werk- en denkniveau
  • Kandidaat heeft minimaal 3 jaar ervaring als GIS ontwikkelaar
  • Kandidaat heeft minimaal 3 jaar ervaring binnen een ontwikkel Scrumteam
  • Kandidaat heeft ervaring met Smallworld en/of Electric Office
  • Kandidaat heeft ervaring met ontwikkelen onder architectuurprincipes

Competenties

Je bent een GIS ontwikkelaar die de mix met beheer leuk vindt. Ervaring in de energiebranche is een pré. Je kan goed de balans vinden tussen het dagelijks helpen van gebruikers bij bugs, het werken aan een stabiele IT infratechniek en het leveren van nieuwe functionaliteiten. Je maakt de architectuur snel eigen en weet hoe je de krachten van collega’s bundelt om tot successen te komen. Je vind het leuk om ongedocumenteerde integraties uit te pluizen en transparant te maken voor andere collega’s. Je overziet het brede scala aan applicaties en verschillende vaardigheden binnen het team en maakt graag de menselijke verbindingen hiertussen om het gezamenlijke doel van het team te realiseren. Achtergrond De elektra- en gasnetten van opdrachtgever staan geregistreerd in het BedrijfsMiddelen Register (BMR). Dit is een verzameling van applicaties en functionaliteiten om haar net goed te kunnen beheren. De kern van BMR is GIS (Smallworld). De data in GIS word steeds belangrijker naar de toekomst toe, de functionaliteiten worden steeds slimmer en de data moet steeds actueler zijn. Het DevOps team BMR zorgt dat de systemen elke dag op de juiste manier performen, waarborgt de continuïteit van het platform naar de toekomst en werkt aan de functionaliteiten die helpen in de Energietransitie.

Werkzaamheden / verantwoordelijkheden Jij gaat helpen in het beheer en ontwikkelen op applicaties als Smallworld en Lovion, maar ook specifieke applicaties voor het ondersteunen van operationele processen. Je denkt mee hoe we deze applicaties aan toekomstige scenario’s up to date houden. Naast de applicaties zorg je ook voor het goed functioneren van de integraties naar andere systemen zoals bijvoorbeeld het SCADA systeem. De beheerambities van opdrachtgever en het BMR team zijn dat ze op termijn zorgen voor een “loosely coupled” architectuur die past bij de API first strategie. Deze vernieuwde architectuur is volledig transparant waarbij het beheer maximaal gefaciliteerd is met automatisering. Het BMR team werkt aan de functionaliteiten van de toekomst. Hiermee realiseren ze o.a. een “Digital twin” voor een actuele netstatus, een continu overzicht van de performance van assets en een inzage in de energiebewegingen op de netten. Ook realiseert het team features zoals Netrekenen waarmee we met onze actuele data direct meerdere scenario’s kunnen emuleren. Dit stelt de business in staat om te anticiperen op grote netuitbreidingen rekening houdende met decentrale opwekking.

Team / afdeling Met een team van zowel ervaren als meer junior collega’s ga je deze uitdaging aan. De teamleden helpen elkaar de outcome te maximaliseren, continu te verbeteren en van elkaar te leren. Het team schakelt dagelijks met de Product Owner over wat de outcome zou moeten zijn. De Scrum Master helpt het team hierin en zorgt ervoor dat iedereen het maximale kan geven op een prettige manier.
