Microsoft Clarity and Shopping operate at massive scale, processing large volumes of data to power rich product experiences and actionable insights for customers worldwide. We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable distributed systems and large-scale data platforms across both product areas. You will tackle challenging engineering problems spanning data ingestion, processing, storage, and serving, with a solid focus on performance, scalability, reliability, and cost efficiency.

As a Senior Software Engineer, you will leverage artificial intelligence tools and modern engineering practices throughout the software development lifecycle to design, build, and deliver high-quality software solutions. You will partner with customers, stakeholders, and engineering teams to understand requirements, define architecture and testing strategies, and develop complex technical specifications. In this role, you will design and develop scalable data processing solutions and data pipelines that support large-scale Clarity and Shopping scenarios, with a strong focus on data quality, performance, reliability, and operational efficiency. You will write secure, maintainable, extensible, and well-tested code, use advanced debugging techniques to improve solution quality, and conduct code reviews to ensure adherence to engineering standards. Additionally, you will drive automation for deployment processes, collaborate across teams to manage dependencies and achieve shared goals, and implement security best practices that strengthen and secure solutions at every layer.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
