Wat je gaat doen

In de eerste fase ligt de nadruk op het neerzetten van een solide fundament voor het nieuwe datawarehouse op Azure Databricks. Vanuit jouw ervaring help je het team om keuzes te maken rondom technische implementatie, modellering, ontwikkelstandaarden en de manier waarop het datawarehouse technisch wordt opgebouwd.

Je werkt daarbij nauw samen met het bestaande team. Binnen het team is al basiskennis van Azure Databricks aanwezig, maar we willen die kennis versneld naar een hoger niveau brengen. Daarom zoeken we nadrukkelijk iemand die niet alleen zelf kan bouwen, maar ook als technisch vliegwiel voor het team kan fungeren.

Je belangrijkste verantwoordelijkheden zijn:

Vanaf de basis ontwerpen en realiseren van een datawarehouse op Azure Databricks;

  • Adviseren over en implementeren van een voor Azure Databricks geoptimaliseerde schaalbare en beheersbare datawarehouse-architectuur
  • Neerzetten van ontwikkelprincipes, standaarden en best practices waarmee het team zelfstandig verder kan
  • Actief overdragen van kennis door middel van coaching, pairing en inhoudelijke begeleiding tijdens het bouwen
  • Helpen om de bestaande Databricks-kennis binnen het team naar een senior niveau te brengen
  • Optreden als technische kartrekker en sparringpartner voor engineers en andere betrokkenen

Wat je meebrengt

We zoeken nadrukkelijk geen consultant die alleen een architectuur of advies achterlaat. We zoeken iemand die ontwerpt, voordoet, bouwt én kennis overdraagt.

Je beschikt over:

  • Ruime en aantoonbare ervaring met Azure Databricks in complexe dataomgevingen
  • Aantoonbare ervaring met het vanaf nul ontwerpen en bouwen van een datawarehouse op Azure Databricks
  • Sterke kennis van datawarehouse-architectuur en datamodellering
  • Ervaring met het opzetten van technische standaarden en ontwikkelpatronen voor data-engineeringteams
  • Ervaring met het moderniseren of migreren van traditionele datawarehouse-omgevingen
  • Ervaring met Teradata en/of Informatica PowerCenter is een pré
  • Een hands-on mentaliteit: je bent comfortabel met zowel architectuurkeuzes als daadwerkelijk bouwen
  • Ervaring met coaching, mentoring en kennisoverdracht binnen een engineeringteam

Met wie je werkt

Binnen NN maken we de beweging van ons huidige datawarehouse naar een nieuwe omgeving op Azure Databricks te migreren. Deze beweging sluit aan bij de richting die binnen NN Group is ingezet.

Daarvoor zoeken we tijdelijk een ervaren Senior Azure Databricks Engineer. Iemand die weet wat erbij komt kijken om binnen Azure Databricks een datawarehouse vanaf de grond op te bouwen en die ons helpt om vanaf het begin de juiste keuzes te maken.
