Service Technician

Ocean Automotive Group is a growing, multi-location dealership group known for strong customer relationships, a supportive team culture, and real opportunities for career growth in the automotive industry.

We are seeking a service technician to join our team. A Service Technician performs diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on vehicles using technical knowledge and precision. You'll work with state-of-the-art equipment, troubleshoot complex issues, and ensure vehicles meet safety and quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Diagnose vehicle problems using advanced diagnostic equipment
  • Perform repairs and maintenance on engines, transmissions, brakes, electrical systems, and other components
  • Follow manufacturer specifications and repair procedures
  • Document work completed and parts used accurately
  • Maintain a clean and organized work station
  • Communicate with Service Advisors about repair status and recommendations
  • Meet labor time standards and quality benchmarks
  • Stay current with new vehicle technology and repair techniques

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • ASE Certification (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
  • 2+ years of automotive service technician experience
  • Strong understanding of automotive systems and repair procedures
  • Proficiency with diagnostic equipment and repair software
  • Ability to lift up to 50 lbs regularly
  • Valid driver's license
