Job Description
Leads Fleet Operations strategic initiatives across the enterprise, focusing on operational efficiency, cross-departmental collaboration, and the delivery of support services to diverse business functions. Examines organizational requirements, overseeing process enhancements, operational and maintenance plans, and the execution of capital plans.
Responsibilities
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- Directs fleet operations, fleet administration, CNG fleet and station management, and business support functions at an enterprise level.
- Coordinates and/or communicates company issues and activities related to fleet with various internal and external stakeholders including the executive and senior executive officer teams, project management, engineering, work scheduling, accounting, and operations leadership.
- Provides oversight of shared services budget planning and execution, analysis, reporting and adherence to capital and O&M budgets.
- Provides advice and guidance to management, legal, employees, regulatory agencies, auditors, vendors, and others relative to department activities.
- Develops, prepares, verifies, and/or approves information and reports including but not limited to:Company polices Regulatory issues Project Management Cost analyses Training materials/instructions
- Responses to regulatory and legislative proposals
- Regular and reliable attendance is required in performance of job.
- Employee may be required to perform additional duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Education Requirements
Bachelor's degree preferred in Business administration, organizational management, related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and additional work experience. (Typically, one and a half to two years of relevant experience is equivalent to one year of formal education.)
Experience
- In addition to education, this role requires ten years of relevant experience. Typical experience usually includes four years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated knowledge of natural gas distribution or transmission operations.
- Proven experience with all phases of project management including regulatory issues, budgeting, financial analyses and regulatory compliance.
- Application of math and algebraic formulas.
- Experience negotiating, executing, and managing vendor and supplier agreements.
- Experience developing, reporting, and managing with applicable performance metrics.
- Experience in use and function of office equipment including microcomputers and applicable software.
- Proven experience and/or training related to:Supervisory and management skills Regulatory policy Interpersonal and business communications Emergency management
- Experience monitoring, evaluating, and developing policies and procedures to ensure compliance with governmental rules and regulations applicable to position.
- Experience researching, composing, and presenting reports, guidelines, cost analyses, procedures, training materials, budgets, presentations, and correspondence.
- Experience reviewing and interpreting company policies and procedures, manuals, federal and state governmental regulations, job orders, vendor information, publications, contracts, reports, and correspondence.
- Experience interacting, advising, negotiating, and communicating effectively.
- Experience leading, directing, supervising, and training.
- Experience developing information and conducting group presentations and meetings.
- Demonstrated ability to read and write fluently in English.
Licenses and Certifications
Applicable driver's license required. Requires travel to company offices field locations, and customer locations.
Additional Requirements
- Mobility to travel in and around office facilities.
- Able to communicate and/or exchange information or instructions; conduct oral presentations.
- Visual abilities are sufficient to perform job duties.
