Note:

Candidates must have a Juris Doctor (JD), an active Illinois Bar license, and 3+ years of civil litigation experience. We are seeking locally based attorneys who can work on-site in Libertyville.

Job Description

  • Represent clients in civil litigation matters and help develop effective legal strategies.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, discovery requests, and other legal documents.
  • Conduct legal research, analyze complex issues, and develop persuasive legal arguments.
  • Participate in discovery, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
  • Collaborate with attorneys and support staff to move cases forward efficiently.
  • Communicate directly with clients and provide practical, responsive legal guidance.
  • Manage case deadlines and maintain high standards of legal work.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
  • Active license to practice law in Illinois.
  • 2+ years of civil litigation experience preferred; candidates with 2+ years of strong, directly relevant experience are encouraged to apply.
  • Experience with legal research, pleadings, discovery, and litigation case management.
  • Strong legal writing, communication, and organizational skills.
  • Courtroom or hearing experience is a plus.
  • Ability to work full-time on-site in Libertyville, IL.
