Work from our Brooklyn office, collaborating directly with experienced legal professionals while building strong relationships and developing your litigation career.

Note

Candidates must be licensed to practice law in New York and have 3+ years of civil litigation experience. Experience in insurance defense, transportation litigation, or personal injury defense is highly preferred. We welcome attorneys with strong litigation backgrounds who are eager to grow in this practice area!

Job Description

We are seeking a motivated Insurance Defense Associate Attorney to join our Transportation Litigation team. This is an exciting opportunity for a litigation attorney who enjoys courtroom advocacy, complex legal challenges, and meaningful client interaction.

  • Manage insurance defense and transportation litigation matters from inception through resolution.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, discovery demands, and other substantive litigation documents.
  • Conduct and defend depositions, prepare witnesses, and develop effective case strategies.
  • Represent clients at court conferences, hearings, oral arguments, and other proceedings.
  • Conduct legal research, evaluate liability and damages, and develop strong defense strategies.
  • Work collaboratively with attorneys, clients, and insurance representatives to achieve successful outcomes.
  • Assist with trial preparation, settlement negotiations, and case resolution.

Qualifications

  • Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school.
  • Active New York bar license required.
  • 3+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience with depositions, motion practice, discovery, and court appearances.
  • Strong legal research, writing, advocacy, and case management skills.
  • Ability to manage deadlines and work independently while contributing to a team.
  • Insurance defense, transportation litigation, or personal injury defense experience preferred.
  • Familiarity with New York No-Fault law or New Jersey bar admission is a plus.
