Position Summary The Assistant Account Manager supports the Account Manager in the daily operation of an assigned valet account. Responsibilities include guest service, staff hiring and development, operational supervision, revenue controls, payroll review, claims prevention, and safety. The role provides hands-on shift support as needed, including safe vehicle parking and retrieval, while maintaining strong relationships with associates and client contacts. Duties and Responsibilities
Coordinate daily valet operations, including safe vehicle parking and retrieval, secure key handling, and hands-on shift support. Reinforce safety procedures to help prevent vehicle damage and associate injuries. Assist with interviewing, hiring, onboarding, and required training. Coach associates, develop future leaders, and promote teamwork and internal advancement. Monitor guest service and uniform standards, provide performance feedback, and administer fair, documented progressive discipline under the Account Manager’s guidance. Communicate with associates and client contacts, resolve guest and operational concerns, and use feedback to improve service and support account retention. Audit weekly timecards, clock punches, reported tips, minimum wage adjustments, and vehicle counts. Resolve discrepancies, submit timely reports, and enforce PMC’s revenue procedures. Implement company initiatives, involve staff in process improvement, and support team accountability. Participate in assigned on-call coverage and address urgent staffing, service, and safety needs. Work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required. Attend required meetings and training, travel occasionally for account support or company business, and perform other duties as assigned.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Competencies and Qualifications Ability to perform essential duties satisfactorily, with or without reasonable accommodation. Education/Experience High school diploma or GED required. At least one year of supervisory experience in customer service or hospitality preferred. Relevant management or leadership training or certifications preferred. Certificates and Licenses A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation are required. Maintain an acceptable motor vehicle record in accordance with PMC policy, including no more than three moving violations within a three-year period. Must meet applicable background-screening requirements consistent with company policy and applicable law. Complete required PMC training and any applicable internal certifications; no additional professional certifications are required. Hospitality, Customer Service and Communication Strong guest service and communication skills, including active listening, anticipating guest needs, and resolving concerns professionally. Strong Analytical and Problem-Solving Abilities Ability to review revenue and payroll data, resolve discrepancies, and improve operational efficiency. Work Environment Work takes place indoors and outdoors at valet properties, including driveways, garages, parking lots, and on-site offices, with exposure to vehicle traffic and varying weather. Administrative duties include computer and telephone use. Physical Demands Duties include extended standing and walking, sitting, entering and exiting vehicles, driving guest vehicles, bending, reaching, and handling keys and equipment. Ability to observe traffic and surroundings is essential for safety. Essential functions may be performed with or without reasonable accommodation.
