PHRS Hospitality Experts, in collaboration with one of our international recruitment partners, is currently seeking experienced Restaurant Supervisors for an exciting career opportunity onboard a leading luxury cruise line.

This position is ideal for hospitality professionals with strong fine-dining experience who are ready to take their careers to an international shipboard environment.

About the Role

The Restaurant Supervisor supports the Restaurant Manager in delivering a refined, personalized, and consistent dining experience onboard. The role focuses on floor coordination, guest flow, team leadership and maintaining exceptional service standards, while contributing to guest satisfaction and operational excellence.

Key Responsibilities

  • Supervise daily restaurant operations and ensure smooth service delivery.
  • Welcome guests, coordinate seating and reservations, and manage dining flow.
  • Monitor guest satisfaction and assist with the resolution of service concerns.
  • Support guests with dietary requirements, allergies and special occasions.
  • Ensure dining venues are fully prepared, including table setup, cleanliness and mise en place.
  • Coordinate with culinary, bar and other onboard departments to ensure timely and accurate service.
  • Lead pre-service briefings and communicate daily service priorities.
  • Coach, mentor and support restaurant team members.
  • Support the onboarding and training of new team members.
  • Ensure grooming, uniform and professional conduct standards are consistently maintained.
  • Ensure compliance with Public Health, HACCP, sanitation and safety standards.
  • Support inventory and stock-control processes.
  • Contribute to revenue targets through excellent service and upselling initiatives.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of experience in luxury restaurants or guest-facing hospitality leadership roles, either shipboard or land-based.
  • Valid STCW95 certification.
  • Strong knowledge of fine-dining service techniques and premium guest service.
  • Familiarity with Public Health regulations and shipboard dining operations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and perform effectively under pressure.
  • Confidence using POS systems and tablet-based tools.
  • Professional, proactive and team-oriented leadership style.
  • Physically and medically fit for shipboard employment.
