Location: Makati

Work Setup: Hybrid

Work Schedule: Monday to Friday | Morning Shift

Job Summary

The Sustainability Director (Audit & ESG Assurance) is responsible for leading the organization’s sustainability, ESG, governance, and assurance initiatives. The role focuses on driving sustainability strategy, overseeing ESG reporting and disclosures, ensuring compliance with global sustainability frameworks, and strengthening governance and risk management practices. This position works closely with senior leadership and cross-functional teams to integrate sustainability into overall business strategy while ensuring accurate reporting, audit readiness, and continuous improvement in ESG performance.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of sustainability and ESG strategies aligned with business and regulatory requirements
  • Oversee sustainability reporting and disclosures in accordance with global and local frameworks such as GRI, ISSB, IFRS Sustainability Standards, TCFD, SASB, and Integrated Reporting
  • Manage ESG assurance, sustainability audit, compliance, and governance activities across the organization
  • Conduct materiality assessments, climate-risk analysis, and ESG performance monitoring initiatives
  • Partner with finance, internal audit, risk, legal, and operations teams to strengthen sustainability governance and reporting processes
  • Advise senior leadership on ESG risks, sustainability opportunities, and strategic initiatives
  • Establish sustainability KPIs, dashboards, and governance frameworks to monitor organizational performance
  • Lead stakeholder engagement activities with regulators, investors, auditors, and external partners
  • Ensure compliance with evolving sustainability regulations, standards, and reporting requirements
  • Support sustainability awareness, capability-building, and training initiatives across business units
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives related to environmental, social, and governance performance
  • Monitor industry trends, emerging regulations, and best practices in sustainability, audit, and ESG assurance

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accountancy, Finance, Sustainability, Environmental Management, Business, or related field
  • CPA is preferred; sustainability-related certifications are an advantage
  • At least 8–15 years of experience in audit, ESG, sustainability reporting, assurance, or risk advisory
  • Strong knowledge of sustainability reporting frameworks and standards including GRI, ISSB, IFRS Sustainability Disclosure Standards, TCFD, SASB, and Integrated Reporting
  • Experience in sustainability assurance, external audit, or internal audit is highly preferred
  • Strong analytical, leadership, stakeholder management, and communication skills
  • Experience working in multinational companies, consulting firms, Big 4, or large corporate environments is an advantage
  • Background in ESG consulting, sustainability advisory, or climate-risk governance is highly preferred
