The platform includes mobile and web experiences designed to support a growing community of creators and users. The company is in a high-iteration stage of product growth, with a strong focus on improving existing products, expanding capabilities, and building reliable, scalable experiences for a broader audience.

About the Role

We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer — Android to help build reliable, accessible, and high-quality Android experiences that enable creators to publish, connect, and grow.

This is a hands-on senior individual contributor role combining feature development, production ownership, technical problem-solving, and engineering mentorship. You will have an opportunity to influence Android architecture and engineering practices while helping the team move quickly without compromising stability or maintainability.

What You’ll Do

Android Development

- Own Android features from technical design through implementation, testing, release, and production monitoring.

- Build intuitive and accessible mobile interfaces for creators and users.

- Develop resilient integrations across APIs, authentication, caching, and background processing.

- Contribute to Android architecture and technical decisions that improve scalability and maintainability.

Production & Reliability

- Diagnose and resolve crashes, performance issues, memory problems, device-specific behavior, and network-related issues.

- Monitor production performance and proactively identify areas for improvement.

- Improve application stability, release quality, and overall user experience.

- Participate in a defined production-support rotation and take ownership of issues through resolution.

Engineering Excellence

- Write clean, maintainable, well-tested code.

- Strengthen automated test coverage for critical Android user journeys.

- Participate in code reviews and provide thoughtful technical feedback.

- Mentor other engineers and contribute to engineering best practices.

- Help identify and reduce recurring defects and development bottlenecks.

AI-Assisted Development

- We value engineers who are effective working both with and without agentic/generative AI coding tools.

- Independently design, write, debug, test, and maintain production-quality software.

- Use coding assistants and AI agents effectively to accelerate development and problem-solving.

- Carefully review and validate AI-generated code through testing and engineering judgment.

- Remain fully accountable for the correctness, security, performance, and maintainability of AI-assisted work.

- Follow appropriate practices for protecting proprietary code and sensitive information when using AI tools.

What We’re Looking For

- 5+ years of professional software engineering experience, including substantial native Android development experience.

- Strong experience with Kotlin, Android SDK, Jetpack, Android lifecycle, concurrency, and API integration.

- Experience building, shipping, and maintaining production Android applications.

- Strong automated testing experience.

- Experience troubleshooting mobile applications across different devices, networks, and performance conditions.

- Understanding of mobile security, accessibility, CI/CD, and application release processes.

- Strong problem-solving and debugging skills.

- Ability to work independently while collaborating effectively with Product, Design, QA, backend, and iOS teams.

- Experience mentoring engineers or providing technical guidance.

- Experience working on media, creator, social, community, or social-feed products is a plus.

Your First 90 Days

Days 1–30

- Become familiar with the Android architecture, codebase, development practices, and release process.

- Understand key user journeys and identify stability, performance, and technical risks.

- Establish baseline metrics for application reliability and performance.

Days 31–60

- Ship a well-tested feature or priority production improvement.

- Implement appropriate monitoring and ensure production performance is tracked.

- Contribute to code quality, testing, and architecture improvements.

Days 61–90

- Deliver measurable improvement to a key reliability, performance, or development bottleneck.

- Help reduce recurring defects or improve release predictability.

- Establish a technical improvement plan with the engineering team.

12–18 Month Outcomes

- Consistently delivering roadmap features against agreed requirements and timelines.

- Improving crash-free usage and key application performance metrics.

- Strengthening automated coverage of critical Android user journeys.

- Reducing recurring defects and improving release predictability.

- Contributing to a more scalable, maintainable Android architecture.

- Helping establish stronger engineering practices across the mobile development team.

Reporting & Collaboration

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
