About the Organization

Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this vital mission, we are seeking an executive-level Mid-Level Data Scientist to support the National Security Branch (NSB) and executive-level priority programs.

In this role, you will be at the forefront of modernizing national security missions by designing and deploying advanced machine learning models, custom algorithms, and data workflows across complex law enforcement, intelligence, investigative, and business datasets. You will collaborate directly with government stakeholders to translate sophisticated data science discoveries into actionable, mission-critical decisions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and design machine learning, statistical analysis, and data analysis tasks across multiple projects of varying complexity.
  • Collaborate with internal and external government stakeholders to identify areas for improvement in workflows or systems.
  • Design new approaches to handling, analyzing, and using large volumes of law enforcement, intelligence, investigative, and business data sets.
  • Develop custom data models, algorithms, and software code to optimize data search and retrieval processes.
  • Use modern tools and computer programming languages, including Python scripts, to collect, wrangle, and process data.
  • Design, test, and validate the quality, integrity, and performance of data and automated data processes.
  • Coordinate across functional teams to deploy predictive models and monitor operational outcomes.
  • Analyze findings and present actionable, data-driven recommendations to executive leadership.
  • Develop visualizations, infographics, and charts to communicate results and derived findings effectively to non-technical audiences.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • 6 years of experience as a Data Scientist or equivalent data-centric role (e.g., Data Analyst, Data Engineer).
  • 6 years of experience utilizing multiple programming languages and statistical packages, alongside modern dataset and Artificial Intelligence/Machine Learning (AI/ML) tools.
  • 6 years of experience utilizing data systems to acquire, extract, and prepare data for research, exploration, or statistical analysis.
  • 6 years of experience conducting exploratory data analysis to interpret complex data trends and anomalies.
  • 6 years of experience cleaning, manipulating, munging, and sub-setting large datasets for analytical workflows.
  • 6 years of demonstrated experience communicating technical analysis and findings to non-technical stakeholders using summary visualizations and tables.
  • Demonstrated ability to learn rapidly and operate effectively both independently and within cross-functional team environments.
  • Ability to obtain and maintain the required U.S. Government Security Clearance suitable for National Security Branch (NSB) programs.

Desired Experience

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics, Computer Science, Data Science, Physical Sciences, or a relevant analytical discipline.
  • Experience applying the latest technologies and methodologies in data mining, predictive analytics, and machine learning to correlate disparate data sets and investigative events.
  • Advanced Python programming proficiency and clean code development utilizing common machine learning frameworks and data science libraries.
  • Advanced SQL and database management experience, including writing complex queries, optimizing database operations, and architecting basic ETL (Extract, Transform, Load) pipelines.
  • Practical experience developing, training, and tuning both supervised and unsupervised machine learning models.
  • Experience designing interactive BI dashboards and presentation-ready visual analytics for senior government leaders.
  • Experience using version control systems (such as Git) to manage collaborative code repositories.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
