Lead construction coordination and performance reviews; provide decision-ready reporting on milestones, critical-path exposure, productivity, cost trends, quality, and emerging risks, with recommended actions, accountable parties, and required decision dates.
  • Direct the Owner’s field oversight program and perform targeted site reviews to assess workmanship, materials, conformity with plans and specifications, code compliance, safety, and actual progress against the approved schedule. Challenge EPC Contractor staffing, production assumptions, sequencing interfaces, and recovery plans without assuming responsibility for contractor means and methods.Establish consistent daily observation reports and logs documenting EPC Contractor activities and observed work methods, weather, staffing, equipment, production, constraints, and photographs; maintain factual records supporting progress validation, issue resolution, and potential claims review. Oversee identification, documentation, and tracking of deficiencies and nonconformances; require EPC Contractor mitigation and remediation proposals, monitor corrective-action commitments, and escalate recurring or material issues. Coordinate review of EPC Contractor remediation proposals with the Project Manager, Engineering, Quality, and other appropriate stakeholders; obtain acceptance or rejection from authorized parties and verify documented closure without waiving contractual requirements.
  • Oversee implementation of project quality and inspection requirements, including review of required soils, compaction, concrete, weld, and other test reports. Coordinate specialist reviews and Owner witness points, identify adverse quality trends, and verify that the EPC Contractor maintains complete inspection, testing, and corrective-action records supporting acceptance and turnover.
  • Lead field coordination of Requests for Information (RFIs), design clarifications, and construction interfaces with Engineering, Procurement, the EPC Contractor, and other stakeholders. Prioritize issues affecting critical work fronts, confirm responses reach the appropriate parties, and advise the RRNA Project Manager and Engineer of potential cost, scope, schedule, or compliance impacts; technical approvals remain with authorized engineering personnel.
  • Lead field evaluation of change orders, potential changes, and contractor claims in coordination with the RRNA Project Manager and commercial team. Assess contractual basis, supporting records, quantities, pricing, productivity, and schedule impacts; develop recommendations and support negotiations within delegated authority without authorizing unapproved scope or commitments.
  • Validate installed quantities, milestone achievement, and supporting documentation for monthly EPC Contractor progress invoices; reconcile discrepancies with the RRNA Project Manager and provide field-based input to cost forecasts, remaining-work assessments, and payment recommendations.
  • Lead construction readiness and completion planning with the Project Manager, commissioning team, Operations, and Asset Management. Coordinate construction-to-commissioning interfaces, monitor mechanical completion and contractual milestone requirements, and drive EPC Contractor closure of punch lists, as-built records, test packages, warranties, training, and turnover deliverables; recommend readiness for acceptance to authorized decision-makers.

Preconstruction, Cross-Project Leadership, and Construction Support:

  • Lead construction input during Origination and Development site visits, identifying access, logistics, site constraints, constructability, execution risks, and preliminary resource needs; provide documented findings and recommendations to inform project planning and investment decisions.
  • Lead construction-execution input to PV Plant, Substation, Gen Tie, and Energy Storage Requests for Proposal and bid evaluations. Assess constructability, execution plans, schedules, staffing, logistics, scope gaps, and EPC Contractor capabilities; develop clarification questions and recommendations supporting contractor selection and construction readiness.
  • Develop and improve standardized construction execution practices, reporting templates, production tracking, quality monitoring, change management, and document controls. Capture lessons learned and promote their application across assigned projects to improve consistency, predictability, and closeout readiness.
  • Provide senior construction support to RRNA Project Managers on complex execution issues, project recovery efforts, and resource planning. Support mobilization and demobilization planning and coach site teams on risk identification, contractor accountability, and timely escalation, as assigned.

Minimum Requirements and Education Experience:

  • Ten (10) years of progressively responsible experience in construction execution or construction management for power generation facilities, energy storage, transmission, and/or electrical substations, including at least five (5) years leading on-site construction execution and multidisciplinary teams. Experience must include leadership through major construction milestones and demonstrated responsibility for contractor oversight, schedule and cost controls, quality, change management, and project turnover. Utility-scale solar and/or energy storage experience is strongly preferred.
  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field preferred; an equivalent combination of education and directly relevant construction leadership experience will be considered. Education does not substitute for the required five (5) years of on-site construction leadership experience.
  • Demonstrated ability to interpret EPC contracts, construction drawings and specifications, critical-path schedules, progress measurements, and commercial documentation; evaluate recovery plans, change requests, and payment applications; lead cross-functional issue resolution; mentor construction personnel; and communicate risks and recommendations clearly to project leadership. Proficiency with construction reporting, scheduling, and document-management tools is required.
  • A current valid US driver’s license

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
