Job Description

SAIC has an immediate opening for a highly motivated Systems Engineer to support a high-priority customer program with national security significance. In this role you will apply your background to help the customer execute engineering efforts in support of operational objectives. You must be able to operate independently, being self-driven to meet the requirements of the position, but must also be able to work well with other team members. Excellent attention to detail, responsiveness to customers, and support flexibility are key. Telecommunications background is a plus.

Qualifications

  • Must already hold a TS/SCI and Poly in order to be considered
  • Bachelor's Degree or relevant experience can be substituted for the degree
  • 9 years of Systems Engineering/SETA experience
  • Ability to review and provide technical feedback on vendor deliverables and products such as Preliminary Design Reviews, Critical Design Reviews, user guides, derived requirements, and test documents
  • Ability to write requirements to support new releases or upgrades for vendor products, mostly for software products
  • Ability to support release testing as a representative of the customer to ensure new releases meet their design objectives
  • Ability to support activities related to the customer's governance and approval process to facilitate new product releases
  • Ability to travel periodically to domestic locations to support program technical meetings and testing activities
  • Ability to capture notes from technical meetings to communicate actions and outcomes
  • Ability to quickly learn the technical nuances of the customer's program to support exchanges with mission partners and the development of inputs to support operations

  • Degree in a technical field (e.g. engineering, telecommunications, etc)
