COMPANY OVERVIEW

STACK Infrastructure builds, owns, and operates hyperscale and colocation data centers that power the world’s most ambitious technology companies. With a rapidly expanding footprint across APAC, STACK combines deep development expertise, flexible capital, and operational discipline to deliver critical digital infrastructure at scale.

Our clients include the largest hyperscale cloud platforms. We are building a regional platform defined by speed of delivery, power reliability, and long-term partnership — and we are assembling the team to lead that effort.

About the role

The Project Engineer – HV Infrastructure is a technically focused project delivery role within STACK's Power & Energy function, responsible for managing engineering workstreams and resolving technical issues across high-voltage infrastructure projects from design through construction, commissioning and energisation. The role takes ownership of assigned technical deliverables and interfaces, coordinating EPC contractors, consultants and OEMs to achieve timely engineering decisions and maintain delivery progress. It works closely with HV Project Managers, the Grid Connection Manager and the DC Engineering team. The role covers HV substations, transformers, switchgear, cables, protection and control, BESS and associated infrastructure, with a strong focus on design coordination, technical change management, equipment integration and construction readiness.

Key responsibilities

- Own assigned HV engineering workstreams, technical action plans and deliverable schedules; proactively identify issues affecting construction or commissioning.

- Investigate technical queries, design clashes, non-conformances and equipment interface issues; coordinate practical solutions with EPC contractors, consultants and OEMs.

- Review technical drawings, specifications, equipment data and design submissions for completeness, consistency and alignment with approved requirements.

- Lead technical coordination meetings and site issue-resolution sessions; assign actions, manage dependencies and drive timely closure.

- Manage the technical review process for assigned EPC deliverables, RFIs, equipment submissions and engineering documentation, including consolidated comments and closeout.

- Drive design workshops, constructability reviews and interface coordination between HV EPC, OEMs, consultants and data centre teams.

- Maintain technical change registers and assess programme, procurement and construction impacts of proposed design changes before escalation.

- Lead technical issue resolution for assigned HV packages during construction, installation, testing and energisation, supporting HV Project Managers and EPC contractors.

- Plan and coordinate technical participation in FATs, SATs, site inspections and commissioning reviews; track technical punch-list closeout.

- Own technical issue, design change, RFI, interface and engineering deliverable registers for assigned workstreams.

About you

- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.

- 5+ years' relevant experience in HV engineering, substations, utilities, renewable energy or major electrical infrastructure projects.

- Demonstrated experience managing engineering deliverables and technical interfaces during design, construction or commissioning of HV assets.

- Experience coordinating EPC contractors, engineering consultants and OEMs to resolve technical issues and manage design changes.

- Working knowledge of Australian electrical standards and relevant safety requirements.

- Experience owning technical workstreams, engineering registers, technical queries and construction interface resolution.

- Strong practical knowledge of HV substations and the technical delivery of electrical infrastructure.

- Ability to interpret single-line diagrams, equipment drawings, specifications and technical reports.

- Working knowledge of transformers, switchgear, HV cables, protection and control and associated systems.

- Ability to independently investigate technical issues, coordinate specialist inputs and drive solutions through to closure.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
