The posting

Role Overview:

  • We are looking for an experienced Live Audio Production Engineer to manage sound operations across corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, product launches, and live shows.

The successful candidate will oversee the complete audio production process, from technical planning and equipment preparation to sound checks and live operation. Working closely with event producers, stage managers, lighting and video teams, and external suppliers, you will ensure a seamless, professional audio experience for clients, presenters, performers, and audiences.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Review event briefs, venue specifications, production schedules, and technical requirements to develop suitable audio plans.
  • Prepare audio equipment lists, stage layouts, channel lists, and signal-routing plans.
  • Coordinate the installation, configuration, and testing of PA systems, mixing consoles, microphones, stage monitors, and playback equipment.
  • Configure and optimize sound systems according to venue acoustics, audience size, and event format.
  • Conduct sound checks and rehearsals with presenters, performers, and production teams.
  • Operate digital mixing consoles during live events, ensuring clear speech, balanced music, and consistent audio quality.
  • Coordinate audio cues and transitions with show callers, stage managers, and lighting and video operators.
  • Manage wireless microphones, stage monitoring, and audio feeds for recording, streaming, and broadcast when required.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve feedback, interference, signal loss, and equipment issues quickly during live operations.
  • Coordinate with clients, venues, rental suppliers, and other production partners to ensure technical requirements are met.
  • Supervise audio technicians during equipment installation, testing, dismantling, and transportation where required.
  • Ensure compliance with equipment handling procedures, safe sound levels, and workplace safety standards.
  • Inspect equipment after events and report faults, maintenance requirements, or potential improvements.
  • Requirements
  • At least 3 years of experience in live sound engineering, event audio production, or audiovisual event operations.
  • Proven experience supporting corporate events, conferences, exhibitions, or live shows.
  • Strong knowledge of digital mixing consoles, PA systems, wireless microphones, stage monitoring, and audio signal flow.
  • Practical understanding of gain staging, equalization, dynamics processing, acoustic feedback, and system tuning.
  • Ability to interpret technical riders, venue specifications, and event production requirements.
  • Experience coordinating with event producers, stage managers, performers, clients, and technical suppliers.
  • Familiarity with networked audio protocols such as Dante is an advantage.
  • Strong troubleshooting, communication, organizational, and time-management skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and make effective decisions under live event pressure.
  • Willingness to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends, and travel when required.
  • Relevant audio engineering qualifications or manufacturer certifications are an advantage.

Key Success Factors:

  • Delivering consistently high-quality audio across different event formats and venues.
  • Ensuring smooth coordination between audio and other production teams.
  • Resolving technical issues quickly while minimizing disruption to live events.
  • Maintaining professional standards in client service, equipment handling, and event delivery.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
