Qualifications

En Syngenta buscamos un/a Líder de Laboratorio de Fitopatología para Santa Isabel, Argentina. Será el/la responsable de liderar y optimizar las operaciones de laboratorio e invernáculos que generan información clave sobre el comportamiento de materiales de maíz y girasol frente a enfermedades, habilitando recomendaciones de híbridos y decisiones del pipeline.

Para apoyar esta misión, el equipo de R&D Operations de Syngenta busca un/a Líder de Laboratorio de Fitopatología. Reportando al LATAM Seeds Development Operation Head, este rol transforma las demandas de fitopatología del negocio en ensayos ejecutables, coordina recursos y capacidades, y asegura resultados confiables y oportunos para stakeholders locales y globales.

Responsabilidades

  • Supervisar y controlar ensayos de laboratorio e invernáculos para enfermedades de maíz y girasol, asegurando protocolos, registros, estandarización y trazabilidad.
  • Planificar ensayos, volúmenes, capacidades, recursos y costos; traducir los requerimientos de los stakeholders en demandas ejecutables y cumplir plazos críticos del pipeline.
  • Liderar, desarrollar y organizar al equipo fijo y temporario del sector, promoviendo una operación segura, colaborativa y orientada a resultados.
  • Asegurar la calidad y entrega oportuna de los datos; gestionar no conformidades y promover una cultura de mejora continua.
  • Gestionar HSE y riesgos del sector, incluyendo recorridos de seguridad, acciones de mejora, capacitación del personal y cumplimiento de los estándares aplicables.
  • Administrar presupuesto, gastos, CAPEX y forecast; gestionar el mantenimiento, calibración y disponibilidad de equipos críticos, así como cepas, repiques y poblaciones de insectos cuando corresponda.

Requisitos

Es indispensable para esta posición:

  • Título universitario en Agronomía, Microbiología, Biotecnología, Genética o carreras afines.
  • Experiencia práctica y conocimientos en fitopatología, incluyendo enfermedades de maíz y girasol.
  • Experiencia en prácticas de laboratorio de microbiología y/o semillas, y en gestión de laboratorios.
  • Experiencia liderando equipos y gestionando la planificación de ensayos, recursos, costos y presupuesto.
  • Capacidad para asegurar trazabilidad, estandarización, calidad y entrega de datos en operaciones de laboratorio e invernáculos.
  • Nivel de inglés avanzado para interactuar con stakeholders y actividades globales.
  • Disponibilidad para trabajo presencial en Santa Isabel.

Deseable

  • Experiencia en ensayos de laboratorio e invernáculos y en evaluación de enfermedades.
  • Experiencia en sistemas de gestión de calidad, HSE, mantenimiento y calibración de equipos.
  • Experiencia en gestión de CAPEX, gastos y forecast, y adaptación ágil a nuevas tecnologias
