Are you an experienced Options Trader who enjoys having the freedom to make your own trading decisions, take ownership of your strategies and see the direct impact of your performance?

We're working with a fast-growing proprietary trading firm looking for a Senior Options Trader to join its team in Hong Kong.

This is an entrepreneurial trading environment where decisions are made quickly, good ideas are encouraged and traders are given the autonomy to do what they do best: trade.

The Firm

Our client is an established but rapidly growing proprietary trading firm operating across global delta-one and derivatives markets.

They combine sophisticated trading technology and institutional-grade infrastructure with the agility of a smaller, entrepreneurial business. You'll be joining a collaborative team where your experience, ideas and trading judgement genuinely matter.

The Opportunity

This is a hands-on senior trading role for someone who wants real ownership of their book.

You'll have the freedom to develop and execute your own options strategies, manage your positions and work closely with quantitative researchers, developers and fellow traders to continuously improve performance.

Beyond trading, you'll also play an important part in developing the desk, sharing your knowledge and mentoring more junior traders.

What You'll Be Doing

  • Develop, execute and refine profitable options trading strategies across global markets.
  • Take full ownership of your positions, including risk management, hedging and position sizing.
  • Work closely with quants and developers to identify opportunities and improve trading models.
  • Analyse market movements, volatility, liquidity and macroeconomic events to inform your trading decisions.
  • Continuously look for ways to improve execution, pricing and overall trading performance.
  • Contribute ideas to improve the firm's trading systems and technology.
  • Share your experience and help develop junior traders within the team.

What We're Looking For

We're interested in speaking with experienced Options Traders who have a strong understanding of derivatives markets and, importantly, a proven ability to generate consistent PnL.

Ideally, you'll bring:

  • 7+ years of options trading experience, with strong knowledge of options pricing, volatility and trading strategies.
  • A demonstrable, consistent personal PnL track record over several years.
  • A degree from a leading university in Finance, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Computer Science or a related field.
  • Strong quantitative and analytical skills, with the ability to turn market data into profitable trading decisions.
  • Confidence in managing risk and making decisions in fast-moving markets.
  • A collaborative mindset and a willingness to share ideas and knowledge.
  • Experience mentoring or supporting junior traders.
  • Knowledge of Python, C++ or similar programming languages would be an advantage, but isn't essential.

Location & Working Arrangements

Hong Kong | On-site

This opportunity is based in Hong Kong and requires working on-site with the trading team.

Candidates must already have the legal right to work in Hong Kong, as visa sponsorship is not available.
