What You'll Do as a Lead Residential Remodeling Carpenter

  • Lead residential remodeling projects, coordinating carpenters and subcontractors to keep work on schedule and within budget.
  • Review blueprints, drawings, and work orders to plan each project and ensure materials are ready when needed.
  • Perform hands-on remodeling work, including framing, drywall, finish carpentry, cabinetry, flooring, window and door installation, and other interior and exterior improvements.
  • Oversee job site preparation, dust protection, safety procedures, and daily cleanup to protect customers' homes.
  • Communicate with homeowners throughout each project, providing updates, answering questions, and addressing concerns.
  • Coordinate with the Field Facilitator to report project progress, resolve challenges, and address changes in the scope of work.
  • Track labor hours and materials used to help keep projects on budget and improve future estimates.
  • Maintain company tools, equipment, and vehicles so they're organized, stocked, and ready for each job.

  • Experienced Craftsman: At least 4 years of hands-on experience in residential remodeling, framing, or construction, with a solid understanding of multiple trades.
  • Natural Leader: Able to guide and motivate other carpenters and trade partners, or ready to grow into a leadership role.
  • Creative Problem-Solver: Think on your feet, troubleshoot unexpected remodeling challenges, and find practical solutions that maintain quality and efficiency.
  • Strong Communicator: Build positive relationships with homeowners, coworkers, and subcontractors through clear, respectful communication.
  • Safety-Minded Professional: Work safely with power tools, ladders, and scaffolding; handle the physical demands of remodeling work; and maintain a valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
