Job description. We are looking for an enthusiastic IT Senior Specialist who will support an enterprise environment with Windows workstations and a wide range of business applications used across different departments.
He/She will investigate complex technical incidents, trace problems across endpoints, networks, identity services, applications, and backend dependencies, and resolve issues within his/her responsibility.
Job responsibilities
- Analyze and resolve complex Windows, desktop application, web application, and network connectivity issues affecting employee productivity,
- Investigate application slowness, crashes, failed transactions, intermittent errors, authentication failures, and service accessibility problems,
- Establish incident scope and business impact; reproduce symptoms and isolate the affected technical layer through structured testing,
- Examine Windows event logs, application logs, resource utilization, network connections, and browser diagnostics to develop and test troubleshooting hypotheses.
- Understand business application dependencies and communication flows, including DNS, proxies, identity providers, APIs, application servers, and databases.
- Distinguish device-specific problems from shared service failures by comparing affected and unaffected users, workstations, locations, and application behavior,
- Prepare actionable escalations with timestamps, reproduction steps, error codes, relevant logs, diagnostic results, and a clear explanation of findings and actions already taken,
- Coordinate with infrastructure, network, security, database, application, and development teams; retain ownership of communication and follow-up through resolution,
- Install, configure, and deploy Windows operating systems and business applications using standardized images, packages, and endpoint management tools,
- Automate OS and application installation, configuration, updates, and routine daily support tasks using PowerShell and approved deployment tools,
- Review endpoint health and recurring incidents; contribute to root cause analysis and improve knowledge articles, support procedures, and preventive measures.
Required qualifications
- At least 3 years of hands-on experience supporting users and business applications in an enterprise IT environment,
- A systematic, evidence-based approach to troubleshooting, with the ability to investigate issues spanning multiple systems and technical teams,
- Strong Windows knowledge covering services, processes, event logs, user profiles, permissions, Group Policy, drivers, software dependencies, and performance analysis,
- Fundamental networking knowledge covering TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, ports, VLANs, Wi-Fi, VPNs, proxies, and firewalls; ability to interpret connectivity test results,
- Practical desktop application troubleshooting skills covering installation, configuration, runtime dependencies, compatibility, crashes, and client-server performance,
- Understanding of web application request flows, HTTP and HTTPS, status codes, TLS certificates, authentication and authorization,
- Understanding of Active Directory, domain authentication, SSO, MFA, and access permissions, including the distinction between authentication and authorization failures,
- Experience with enterprise ticketing, remote support, endpoint management, and diagnostic tools; basic PowerShell skills for information collection and routine automation,
- Ability to communicate findings precisely in technical language to specialist teams and explain business impact and progress clearly to employees,
- Strong incident ownership, documentation skills, prioritization, and sound judgment when handling production systems, access, and sensitive diagnostic data.
Additional advantages
- Experience with Windows Performance Monitor, Sysinternals, browser developer tools, Wireshark, and centralized logging platforms.
- Familiarity with Microsoft Intune, Configuration Manager, or equivalent endpoint management platforms.
- Experience supporting business-critical applications across multiple departments and contributing to incident, problem, and change management.
