The posting

About Us

At We., we've spent decades at the intersection of technology and humanity, bridging the gap between what businesses create and how people experience those creations. We've learned that beneath even the most unruly situations — whether it's a global crisis, an emerging technology, or a sweeping organizational change—lies a simple human need. That need could be for trust, connection, safety, or a sense of purpose. But it’s always there. And it is only by uncovering these truths that we can make real, meaningful progress.

About the Role

Do you love the intersection of media, culture, technology, and storytelling? We. Communications is seeking an enthusiastic Assistant Account Executive to join our Broadcast, Emerging Media & Storytelling team.

Our team helps some of the world's most influential brands and leaders show up in meaningful ways across today's evolving media landscape, including broadcast, audio, digital video, podcasts, creator partnerships, and emerging platforms. We believe great storytelling can shape conversations, influence culture, and drive business impact.

We're a highly collaborative, supportive team that believes the best communicators are endlessly curious. You'll learn from experienced practitioners across broadcast and executive communications, while building your own expertise and voice.

As an Assistant Account Executive, you'll support integrated media campaigns, executive visibility programs, product launches, thought leadership initiatives, and major storytelling moments for clients across industries. You'll help uncover insights, develop media strategies, cultivate relationships with journalists, producers, creators, and podcast hosts, and contribute to campaigns that drive meaningful outcomes for clients.

Our book of brands includes Microsoft, Intel, Volvo Cars of North America, Mastercard, Adobe and a range of others.

Note: The hiring team is prioritizing candidates who can work from our Bellevue, WA, or Portland, OR offices. The team will also consider strong candidates who can work from our New York City, NY office.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day execution of integrated media and storytelling campaigns across broadcast, digital media, podcasts, creators, and emerging platforms.
  • Monitor media, cultural, and industry trends, and translate findings into actionable insights for clients and internal teams.
  • Develop media lists, briefing materials, coverage reports, and campaign recaps.
  • Track and analyze earned media performance, identifying key themes, opportunities, and recommendations.
  • Assist in developing pitches, media materials, executive talking points, and strategic recommendations.
  • Support media outreach and help build relationships with journalists, producers, creators, and other media stakeholders.
  • Contribute to event support, media activations, product launches, and executive visibility opportunities.
  • Provide timely monitoring and intelligence around breaking news, emerging issues, competitor activity, and cultural moments.
  • Support real-time communications execution for major news moments, including live monitoring, rapid-response outreach, reactive inquiry tracking, coverage reporting, and cross-team coordination under tight deadlines.
  • Collaborate across integrated agency, client, and account teams to align storytelling efforts with business objectives, proactively managing dependencies, resolving information gaps, and adapting to shifting priorities.
  • Maintain workbacks, trackers, roles and responsibilities, approval paths, timelines, and status updates to keep complex, multi-stakeholder programs moving.
  • Support new business opportunities through research, audience insights, and media landscape analysis.
  • Demonstrate flexibility and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced environment where priorities, timelines, and information may change quickly.
  • Model We.'s values of curiosity, collaboration, inclusion, and continuous learning.

  • Strong research and analytical skills with attention to detail.
  • Demonstrated interest in media, news, culture, technology, business, and storytelling. Strong analytical writing skills.
  • Experience with written and developed materials, including integrated communication plans, press releases, pitches, and social media content highly desirable.
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to multi-task, work in a team environment, and meet deadlines.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
