Poste

Rattaché·e directement à l'équipe R&D, votre objectif sera de lever les verrous scientifiques complexes liés au traitement d'images et à la fusion de données multi-sources (géospatiales, imagerie drone et satellitaire, flux ISR, OSINT) afin d'offrir une clarté opérationnelle et une aide à la décision critique en continu sur le champ de bataille.

Dans ce cadre, vos principales missions consistent à :

  • Conduire les projets de recherche appliquée : Définir, modéliser et mener les projets de recherche algorithmique axés sur l'analyse, la segmentation, la détection d'objets et la classification d'images complexes (satellitaires et aéroportées).
  • Contribuer à la roadmap R&D : Assurer une veille scientifique rigoureuse sur l'état de l'art en deep learning et computer vision, et être force de proposition pour introduire de nouvelles méthodologies produit.
  • Entraîner et optimiser les modèles : Développer et réaliser l'entraînement des modèles, en optimisant les frameworks pour garantir un passage en production rapide, fluide et robuste.
  • Collaborer en équipe multidisciplinaire : Travailler en interface constante avec les Data Engineers et les développeurs logiciels pour assurer l'interopérabilité des briques technologiques développées.
  • Interagir avec le terrain : Collaborer activement avec les utilisateurs finaux et les experts du domaine pour appréhender finement leurs contraintes contextuelles et adapter au mieux les modèles aux réalités du terrain (des déplacements ponctuels sur le terrain opérationnel sont à prévoir).

Profil

Titulaire d'un diplôme de niveau Bac+8 (Doctorat / PhD) ou Bac+5 (Master / École d'ingénieurs) spécialisé en Intelligence Artificielle, Deep Learning ou Computer Vision, vous justifiez d'une expérience solide de 5 à 10 ans dans ce domaine.

  • Compétences techniques requises :
  • Maîtrise approfondie de Python, de la conception algorithmique et des outils de gestion de versions (Git).
  • Expertise incontournable en deep learning et maîtrise de la computer vision (idéalement appliquée aux images satellitaires, aéroportées ou drones).
  • Expérience pratique des réseaux de neurones avancés (notamment les architectures multimodales et les modèles de type Transformers).
  • Connaissance pointue des frameworks de calcul scientifique et de deep learning (PyTorch, Jax / Flax, scikit-learn, Numpy, Numba, Joblib).
  • Bonnes notions en gestion de bases de données (notamment SQL / PostgreSQL).
  • Un niveau d'anglais courant est indispensable pour évoluer dans cet environnement international (la maîtrise du français n'est pas obligatoire).
  • Qualités professionnelles : Vous êtes reconnu·e pour votre fort esprit d'équipe et votre goût pour la réussite collective (partage de connaissances, vulgarisation des choix techniques). Votre autonomie technique s'accompagne d'une grande agilité et d'une flexibilité face aux réorientations rapides propres aux cycles d'innovation d'une startup en hyper-croissance. Enfin, votre curiosité intellectuelle est portée par un esprit pragmatique et le désir profond de voir les résultats concrets de vos algorithmes appliqués immédiatement sur le terrain.

This agile and cutting-edge organization combines scientific excellence in breakthrough AI with rigorous operational execution in the field to shape the future of global defense. Backed by leading strategic partnerships and a highly differentiated value proposition, the company has recently completed a Series A funding round. It offers its research teams access to massive heterogeneous datasets and a unique technological environment, enabling them to test and deploy complex models into production within extremely short development cycles.

Position

Reporting directly to the R&D team, your objective will be to overcome complex scientific challenges related to image processing and multi-source data fusion (geospatial data, drone and satellite imagery, ISR streams, OSINT) in order to provide continuous operational clarity and critical decision support on the battlefield.

In this context, your main responsibilities include:

  • Conduct applied research projects: Define, model and lead algorithmic research projects focused on the analysis, segmentation, object detection and classification of complex images (satellite and airborne imagery).
  • Contribute to the R&D roadmap: Carry out rigorous scientific monitoring of the state of the art in deep learning and computer vision, and proactively introduce new product methodologies.
  • Train and optimize models: Develop and train models while optimizing frameworks to ensure fast, smooth and robust deployment into production.
  • Collaborate within a multidisciplinary team: Work closely with Data Engineers and Software Developers to ensure the interoperability of the technological building blocks developed.
  • Interact with the field: Collaborate actively with end users and domain experts to gain a thorough understanding of their contextual constraints and adapt the models accordingly to operational realities (occasional travel to operational sites is to be expected).

Profile

Holding either a PhD (Doctorate) or a Master's degree / Engineering degree specialized in Artificial Intelligence, Deep Learning or Computer Vision, you have solid experience of 5 to 10 years in this field.

Required technical skills:

  • Strong command of Python, algorithm design and version control tools (Git).
  • Essential expertise in Deep Learning and strong mastery of Computer Vision (ideally applied to satellite, airborne or drone imagery).
  • Practical experience with advanced neural networks (particularly multimodal architectures and Transformer-based models).
  • In-depth knowledge of scientific computing and deep learning frameworks (PyTorch, JAX / Flax, scikit-learn, NumPy, Numba, Joblib).
  • Strong knowledge of database management (particularly SQL / PostgreSQL).
  • Fluent English is essential to evolve in this international environment (French is not required).
