L'entreprise

  • MATLAB / Simulink ;
  • Python et/ou C/C++ ;
  • Git ou un outil équivalent de gestion de versions ;
  • les principes du contrôle-commande et des systèmes temps réel ;
  • les protocoles de communication tels que UDP, TCP/IP ou CAN ;

VERSION ANGLAISE

Company

We are recruiting on behalf of our client, an innovative deeptech startup specializing in renewable energy, for a Control Systems / INstrumentation /Test Engineer (W/M/D) to contribute to the development, integration, and commissioning of the control systems for its airborne energy generation prototype.

The company is developing a breakthrough technology that harnesses high-altitude winds to generate cost-competitive renewable energy. It operates in an international environment where innovation, technical excellence, collaboration, and a strong commitment to the energy transition are at the heart of every project.

Role

Reporting to the Head of the Simulation & Control Department, you will contribute to the deployment and validation of the real-time control architecture for the company's prototype.

Working at the interface between control systems, embedded systems, avionics, and experimental testing, you will be involved in controller integration, real-time communication validation, and the progressive commissioning of the overall system.

Your main responsibilities will include:

  • Deploying and integrating existing controllers into the prototype's real-time control architecture.
  • Developing and implementing conventional control algorithms to support testing requirements.
  • Contributing to the development and continuous improvement of the real-time data acquisition and control platform, integrating rapid prototyping hardware, sensors, actuators, and multiple communication buses.
  • Verifying the proper operation of real-time communications, data synchronization, and frame transmission between the various subsystems.
  • Participating in test campaigns, analyzing test results, and contributing to the continuous improvement of system performance.
  • Supporting the evolution of simulation tools and testing equipment when required.

This position offers a strong hands-on component, providing the opportunity to work directly on an innovative system under development within a cutting-edge technological environment.

Profile

You hold an Engineering degree or a Master's degree (MSc) in Control Engineering, Automation, Mechatronics, Instrumentation, Embedded Systems, or a related field. Ideally, you have gained initial experience (through an internship, apprenticeship, or first professional role) in the development or integration of control systems.

You are eager to work on innovative projects combining control engineering, real-time systems, and experimental testing. Experience in aerospace, drones, robotics, or embedded systems would be a significant advantage.

You are proficient in:

  • MATLAB / Simulink;
  • Python and/or C/C++;
  • Git or an equivalent version control system;
  • Control systems engineering and real-time system principles;
  • Communication protocols such as UDP, TCP/IP, or CAN;
  • Experimental data analysis and technical troubleshooting.

Hands-on experience with real-time control systems is particularly valued. Familiarity with real-time platforms such as Simulink Real-Time, Speedgoat, or equivalent, as well as industrial PLC programming environments such as CODESYS, would be considered an asset, though it is not required.

You enjoy working close to real systems, participating in integration, commissioning, and testing activities. You are motivated by understanding complex system architectures, solving technical challenges, and collaborating with multidisciplinary teams.

Fluency in either French or English is essential to thrive in our international working environment.

If you are looking to join an ambitious deeptech startup and play a key role in the development of a breakthrough technology supporting the global energy transition, we encourage you to submit your application to Adoc Talent Management today.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
