Nous recherchons pour notre client, une CRO préclinique spécialisée dans les maladies métaboliques, un(e) chercheur(se) préclinique / directeur(trice) d'étude. Notre client développe et utilise des modèles précliniques originaux in vitro et in vivo pour évaluer l'efficacité de nouvelles thérapies afin de fournir des données traduisibles pour des essais cliniques chez l'homme et ainsi traiter ces maladies métaboliques.

Poste

Pour soutenir la croissance de l'entreprise et renforcer la base de leurs clients, nous recherchons des personnes ayant une solide expérience scientifique dans le domaine de l’obésité et du diabète de type 2, ainsi que des comorbidités associées (ex: MASH ou néphropathie), et ayant une bonne compréhension de la physiopathologie et de la pharmacologie de ces maladies.

La personne doit avoir une bonne compréhension in vivo, des enjeux précliniques et manifester un réel intérêt pour la production de données scientifiques fiables et la mise à disposition de son expertise auprès de nos clients.

Les principales missions du candidat seront les suivantes :

1) En tant que directeur d’étude, concevoir et superviser les études des clients en étroite collaboration avec l’équipe de scientifiques et de techniciens.

2) Contribuer au développement de nouveaux modèles in vivo de l’obésité et du diabète de type 2 ainsi que des comorbidités associées, dans le cadre d’études internes de R&D.

Le candidat mettra en œuvre des axes stratégiques de validation des modèles précliniques en fonction de la demande du marché. Le titulaire du poste bénéficiera d’un soutien important de la part du directeur de la recherche et du développement commercial, du directeur scientifique et de notre équipe de scientifiques et de techniciens, afin de mener à bien les études de nos clients ou de coordonner le développement de nouveaux modèles animaux et d’expériences innovantes.

  • Mettre à la disposition de nos clients votre expertise scientifique en matière d’obésité et de diabète de type 2, afin de sélectionner le modèle animal et le protocole d’étude expérimentale appropriés pour évaluer l’efficacité des médicaments de nos clients.
  • Élaborer des plans d’étude, des devis et des calendriers de recherche en collaboration avec l’équipe afin de répondre aux demandes des clients.
  • Si nécessaire, préparer et soumettre les protocoles au comité d’éthique en vue de l’obtention de l’autorisation officielle de mener une étude expérimentale.
  • Superviser les études d’efficacité en tant que directeur d’étude, en collaboration quotidienne avec l’équipe de scientifiques et de techniciens, dans le respect des procédures opérationnelles standard et des directives internes en matière de qualité et de sécurité.
  • Assurer la liaison avec les clients et leur fournir des mises à jour des données tout au long de l’étude. • Analyser les données et les statistiques générées par l’équipe afin de rédiger un rapport d’étude en s’appuyant sur votre expertise scientifique.
  • Proposer à la direction de l’entreprise de nouveaux domaines de recherche dans les domaines de l’obésité, du diabète de type 2 et des comorbidités associées, en fonction des besoins du marché.
  • Élaborer un plan d’étude et calculer le budget nécessaire à la conduite d’études de recherche internes.

Profil

  • Doctorat (PhD) en pharmacologie, physiologie, métabolisme, nutrition, biologie ou autre domaine pertinent
  • Excellentes connaissances dans le domaine des modèles animaux de l'obésité, du diabète de type 2 et des comorbidités associées
  • Plusieurs années d'expérience dans le domaine du métabolisme (Postdoctorat compris), idéalement en biotech ou pharma
  • Agilité scientifique pour intéragir avec des équipes scientifiques multidisciplinaires
  • Bon niveau d'Anglais et niveau intermédiaire en Français, bilingue idéalement

We are looking for our client, a preclinical CRO specializing in metabolic diseases, a Research Scientist / Study Director. Our client develops and uses original in vitro and in vivo preclinical models to evaluate the efficacy of new therapies, in order to provide translatable data for human clinical trials and thus treat these metabolic diseases.

Position

To support the company’s growth and expand its customer base, we are seeking individuals with solid scientific experience in the field of obesity and type 2 diabetes, as well as related comorbidities (e.g., MASH or nephropathy), and who have a good understanding of the pathophysiology and pharmacology of these diseases.

The candidate must have a good understanding of in vivo preclinical issues and demonstrate a genuine interest in generating reliable scientific data and sharing their expertise with our clients.

The candidate’s main responsibilities will be as follows:

1) As a study director, design and oversee client studies in close collaboration with the team of scientists and technicians.

2) Contribute to the development of new in vivo models of obesity and type 2 diabetes, as well as associated comorbidities, as part of internal R&D studies.

The candidate will implement strategic approaches for validating preclinical models based on market demand. The position holder will receive significant support from the Director of Research and Business Development, the Chief Scientific Officer, and our team of scientists and technicians to successfully carry out our clients’ studies or coordinate the development of new animal models and innovative experiments.

  • Provide our clients with your scientific expertise in obesity and type 2 diabetes to select the appropriate animal model and experimental study protocol for evaluating the efficacy of our clients’ drugs
  • Develop study plans, cost estimates, and research timelines in collaboration with the team to meet client requests
  • If necessary, prepare and submit protocols to the ethics committee to obtain official authorization to conduct an experimental study
  • Oversee efficacy studies as the study director, working daily with the team of scientists and technicians, in accordance with standard operating procedures and internal quality and safety guidelines
  • Liaise with clients and provide them with data updates throughout the study
  • Analyze the data and statistics generated by the team to draft a study report based on your scientific expertise.
  • Propose new areas of research to company management in the fields of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and associated comorbidities, based on market needs
  • Develop a study plan and calculate the budget required to conduct internal research studies.

Profile

  • Ph.D. in pharmacology, physiology, metabolism, nutrition, biology, or another relevant field
  • Excellent knowledge of animal models of obesity, type 2 diabetes, and associated comorbidities
  • Several years of experience in the field of metabolism (including postdoctoral work), ideally in biotech or pharma
  • Scientific agility to collaborate with multidisciplinary scientific teams
  • Good command of English and intermediate proficiency in French; bilingual candidates are preferred
