1. Propósito y valor esperado de la práctica

El Water Vapor Radiometer (WVR) es un equipo crítico para las antenas. Sus fallas dejan fuera de servicio las antenas, por lo cual es un punto singular de falla. Actualmente la herramienta de mantención y verificación en laboratorio depende de una interfaz gráfica de LabView. Se desea hacer una migración de este sistema a una interfaz de código abierto que facilite la mantención tanto del equipo como del software y así evitar depender de un PC específico para realizar estas actividades.

2. Trabajo o proyecto propuesto

Construir una herramienta de monitoreo, calibración y detección de fallas para los WVR que sea desarrollada en python, y con una interfaz gráfica amigable para los especialistas de Front End.

3. Experiencia de aprendizaje

El estudiante aprenderá conceptos básicos de receptores, radiómetros y comunicación CAN para interactuar con dispositivos críticos. El practicante pondrá en práctica sus conocimientos de hardware, programación y buenas prácticas profesionales.

4. Supervisión

Al practicante se le asignarán actividades por etapas, las cuales constarán de tareas secuenciales y escalonadas, lo que conllevará una supervisión basada en metas, plazos y medición de progreso, lo que resultará en una retroalimentación permanente entre ambas partes.

Requirements

Estudiantes de la carrera de Ingeniería Eléctrica/Electrónica.
