Bij Ballast Nedam Infra Regionale Projecten is de mogelijkheid voor een afstudeeronderzoek gericht op een opkomende funderingstechniek:

BSM (Bitumen Stabilized Material), ook wel schuimbitumenstabilisatie genoemd.

De fundering van een weg is van cruciaal belang voor zowel de duurzaamheid als de bruikbaarheid ervan. Zonder een goed ontworpen en uitgevoerde fundering zouden asfaltwegen, betonverhardingen, natuursteenbestrating en klinkerwegen niet naar behoren functioneren. De fundering draagt niet alleen het wegdek, maar heeft ook als doel de verkeersbelasting over te brengen naar de ondergrond. Bij deze ondersteunende functie spelen stijfheid, sterkte, vermoeiing en weerstand een essentiële rol tegen permanente vervorming (zoals spoorvorming).

De nieuwe techniek bestaat uit een mengsel van deels of volledig in-situ mineraal aggregaat (bijvoorbeeld gefreesd asfalt- en funderingsmateriaal uit de weg), schuimbitumen en cement. Dit biedt flexibiliteit, stabiliteit en weerstand tegen scheurvorming, waardoor het een waardevolle optie is voor wegverhardingen. Ballast Nedam wilt, mogelijk in samenwerking met het Deltaplan Duurzame Wegverhardingen, deze benadering verder onderzoeken om een nog beter begrip te krijgen van de functionele aspecten.

Wat breng jij mee

  • Je volgt een hbo of wo-opleiding in de richting van civiele techniek (of vergelijkbaar) en bent gedurende een periode van 5 maanden (bijna) fulltime beschikbaar;
  • Je hebt affiniteit met wegenbouw en funderingen
  • Je beheert de Nederlandse taal zowel in spraak als schriftelijk op goed niveau;
  • Je neemt initiatief, bent nieuwsgierig en durft vragen te stellen;
  • Bij voorkeur ben je in het bezit van een rijbewijs;

  • Je ontvangt een stagevergoeding van €507,- (mbo) of €600,- (hbo) bruto per 4 weken. Omgerekend is dat €550,- (mbo) en €650,- (hbo) bruto per maand bij een fulltime stage;

  • Goede begeleiding. Je vaste stagebegeleider leert je de kneepjes van het vak;

  • Kans op een vervolg binnen de organisatie. Veel stagiairs blijven voor een afstudeeropdracht of starten later als junior.
