Microsoft Consultant Data Engineering

Jouw toekomstige taken

Als Microsoft Consultant Data Engineering help je klanten bij het ontwerpen, bouwen en doorontwikkelen van moderne dataplatformen in de cloud. Je werkt in kleine, multidisciplinaire teams aan end‑to‑end data-oplossingen en combineert diepgaande technische expertise met een adviserende rol richting stakeholders.

Je vertaalt businessbehoeften naar robuuste, schaalbare architecturen en neemt het voortouw in technische besluitvorming, kwaliteitsborging en standaarden binnen projecten. Daarbij werk je hands‑on mee én fungeer je als inhoudelijke sparringpartner voor klanten en collega’s.

Data‑architectuur en platformontwikkeling Je ontwerpt en realiseert toekomstbestendige dataplatformen op basis van moderne cloud‑architecturen, met name binnen Azure (o.a. Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure Data Factory) en/of Snowflake.

Data‑integratie en processing Je bouwt en optimaliseert ETL/ELT‑pipelines met behulp van (T‑)SQL, Python, Databricks/Spark en orchestration tooling. Je maakt gebruik van ons eigen framework, de Smart Data Accelerator (SDA), en waar passend tools zoals DBT of TimeXtender.

Modellering en data‑architecturen Je past dimensioneel modelleren en Data Vault toe (of vergelijkbare modellen) en richt gelaagde data‑architecturen in, zoals de Medallion‑architectuur.

DevOps, kwaliteit en betrouwbaarheid Je borgt kwaliteit door het inrichten van DevOps‑werkwijzen, CI/CD‑processen, testing, monitoring en performance‑optimalisatie.

Adviesrol en stakeholdermanagement Je vertaalt technische keuzes naar begrijpelijke impact voor de business, adviseert klanten over architectuur‑ en roadmapbeslissingen en begeleidt hen bij de implementatie van dataplatformen.

Coaching en kennisdeling Als senior coach je medior en junior consultants, draag je bij aan kennisdeling en best practices en help je actief mee om onze data‑ en AI‑proposities verder te ontwikkelen.

Jouw profiel

Opleiding Je hebt een afgeronde masteropleiding in bijvoorbeeld Informatica, Data Science, Computer Science, Econometrie of een vergelijkbare technische of analytische richting.

Ervaring Je hebt minimaal 5 jaar ervaring in data engineering, met aantoonbare end‑to‑end verantwoordelijkheid voor het ontwerpen en realiseren van dataplatformen en complexe ETL/ELT‑processen.

Technische expertise Je beschikt over sterke hands‑on ervaring met SQL en Python, distributed processing (zoals Spark), orchestration tooling en hebt aantoonbare ervaring met performance‑optimalisatie en datakwaliteit.

Cloud en tooling Je hebt diepgaande ervaring met Azure data‑services (Data Factory, Databricks, Microsoft Fabric) en/of Snowflake. Relevante cloud‑ of data‑certificeringen zijn een pré.

Architectuur en modellering Je hebt ruime ervaring met dimensioneel modelleren, Data Vault (of vergelijkbare technieken) en gelaagde data‑architecturen.

Consultancy‑ en communicatievaardigheden Je hebt ervaring in een consultancy‑ of adviesrol en weet technische oplossingen helder te vertalen naar businesswaarde. Je communiceert professioneel in zowel Nederlands als Engels.
