Job Description

BryceTech is seeking a Contract Closeout Specialist to support SZK within the U.S. Space Force by managing the final closeout of assigned Government contracts. This position ensures contractual end items have been delivered, inspected, and accepted, and that all outstanding administrative, financial, and reporting actions are resolved before recommending contracts for closeout. The ideal candidate has hands-on experience with Government contract administration, closeout documentation, compliance requirements, and coordination with contracting officers, program managers, finance personnel, and other stakeholders to ensure contracts are properly and efficiently closed in accordance with applicable regulations and procedures.

Responsibilities

  • Perform final closeout reviews of assigned Government contracts to verify that all contractual requirements and obligations have been satisfied
  • Confirm delivery, inspection, and acceptance of contractual end items and ensure supporting documentation is complete
  • Verify that all administrative, financial, property, deliverable, and reporting actions have been resolved before recommending contract closeout
  • Review contract files, modifications, invoices, payment records, deliverable documentation, and other supporting records for completeness and accuracy
  • Identify outstanding contractual actions, documentation gaps, discrepancies, and unresolved issues that could delay closeout
  • Coordinate with contracting officers, contract specialists, program managers, finance personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to resolve open items
  • Track contract closeout status, outstanding requirements, milestones, and suspense dates to support timely completion
  • Prepare closeout documentation, checklists, status reports, and recommendations in accordance with applicable Government requirements and organizational procedures
  • Ensure contract records are properly organized, documented, and maintained in accordance with applicable records management and retention requirements
  • Apply relevant Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, agency procedures, contract terms, and organizational policies to closeout activities
  • Communicate closeout risks, discrepancies, and recommended corrective actions to appropriate Government and program leadership
  • Maintain accurate tracking systems and provide regular updates on closeout progress, issues, and completion status
  • Support process improvements that increase the accuracy, consistency, and efficiency of contract closeout activities
  • Manage multiple assigned contracts and competing priorities while maintaining attention to detail and compliance with established procedures

Qualifications

  • Active DoW Top Secret Clearance with SCI eligibility (TS/SCI)
  • Bachelor’s degree in business, contract management, finance, accounting, acquisition, or a related field
  • Three to ten years of relevant experience in Government contracting, contract administration, contract closeout, acquisition support, or a related field
  • Demonstrated expertise in performing final closeout reviews of assigned contracts, including verifying delivery, inspection, and acceptance of contractual end items and confirming that all administrative and reporting actions have been resolved before recommending closeout
  • Experience reviewing contract files and supporting documentation to verify that contractual requirements, deliverables, and obligations have been satisfied
  • Experience identifying, tracking, and resolving outstanding contract actions, documentation deficiencies, financial discrepancies, and other issues that may prevent contract closeout
  • Familiarity with applicable Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) requirements, Government contract administration procedures, and contract closeout practices
  • Experience coordinating with contracting officers, contract specialists, program managers, finance personnel, contractors, and other stakeholders to complete closeout actions
  • Ability to review contractual and financial documentation for accuracy, completeness, and compliance
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail, with the ability to manage multiple contracts, track suspense dates, and meet established deadlines
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to maintain accurate contract tracking records
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to document findings, communicate outstanding requirements, and provide clear closeout recommendations
  • Ability to work independently, exercise sound judgment, and support mission requirements in a structured Government contracting environment

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
