The posting

This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for an Analyst Lead, Managed Service based in Australia.

This is a senior managed-services and technology leadership role focused on the delivery and ongoing operation of payment platforms in a multi-tenant environment. You will lead technical analysis, solution design, development, and delivery while ensuring customer service levels and operational commitments are consistently met. The role combines people leadership, project delivery, production support, and hands-on technical expertise across payment technology. You will work closely with customers, business analysts, product teams, developers, and external stakeholders to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions. Your scope will cover the full delivery lifecycle, from requirements refinement and estimation through design, development, testing, implementation, and transition into ongoing operations. You will also contribute to product enhancements, annual updates, and payment scheme compliance activities in a regulated and continuously evolving environment. The position offers an opportunity to contribute to financial technology while leading distributed teams and solving complex payment-platform challenges.

Accountabilities

  • Lead delivery and development activities for a payment-as-a-service managed-services platform supporting multiple payment products in a multi-tenant environment.
  • Own end-to-end project delivery, including requirements refinement, estimation, technical design, development, testing support, implementation, and transition into the managed-service environment.
  • Drive the analysis and design of technical solutions that align with business and IT strategies as well as established architecture standards.
  • Lead both local and offshore team members, coordinating development activities and providing direction to ensure high-quality delivery.
  • Participate in production support on a rostered basis alongside offshore developers and product teams, helping maintain agreed customer service levels.
  • Coordinate closely with customers, business analysts, product teams, external development groups, and other stakeholders to maintain delivery quality and timelines.
  • Deliver platform enhancements while supporting annual product updates and payment-scheme compliance requirements.
  • Support the transition of project enhancements into the ongoing managed-service environment, ensuring continuity and operational readiness.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of delivery practices, technical solutions, and operational processes.
  • Apply strong analytical and problem-solving skills to resolve complex technical and business challenges while maintaining a strong focus on customer outcomes.
  • 10+ years of experience in a comparable technology, managed-services, payments, or software delivery role, with the ability to work in Australia.
  • Strong knowledge of payment domains and card schemes, ideally supported by hands-on experience with payment platforms or payment products.
  • Experience delivering and maintaining product-based technology solutions within an enterprise environment.
  • Demonstrated experience leading technical teams and coordinating distributed local and offshore resources.
  • Strong project delivery capabilities, including requirements analysis, estimation, solution design, development, testing, implementation, and operational transition.
  • Strong technical expertise in C++, Unix/Linux, Oracle, SQL, Perl scripting, Shell scripting, and Java for UI development.
  • Mainframe experience is highly desirable, or a willingness and ability to learn and support mainframe-based systems.
  • Strong technical solution-design capabilities and the ability to translate business requirements into practical, maintainable solutions.
  • Excellent stakeholder-management and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, product teams, developers, and external partners.
  • Strong ownership, accountability, initiative, adaptability, and a proactive “can-do” approach.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, combined with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Experience with payment switches is advantageous.
  • Familiarity with DataNavigator, IST MAS, and Clearing product suites is highly desirable.
  • Full-time opportunity within the financial technology sector.
  • Internal career growth and development opportunities.
  • Opportunities to contribute ideas and innovate within fintech.
  • Inclusive and collaborative team environment.
  • Professional and personal development opportunities.
  • Access to resources and support for continued learning and career progression.
  • Opportunity to work on technology supporting payment services and financial infrastructure.
  • Exposure to customers, product teams, technical specialists, and distributed delivery teams.
  • Opportunity to contribute to community-focused initiatives.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
