Job Description – 3D Designer at ThurayaBiz

Job Summary

The 3D Designer at ThurayaBiz plays a key role in developing high-quality three-dimensional visual content that supports the organization’s branding, marketing, events, and communication objectives. Reporting to the Creative/Design Lead, this position involves conceptualizing, modeling, texturing, rendering, and animating 3D assets while ensuring visual quality, creativity, and alignment with project requirements.​

Key Responsibilities and Roles:

1) 3D Design & Visualization:

  • Develop high-quality 3D models, environments, objects, and visual compositions.
  • Create 3D visuals for branding, campaigns, events, presentations, and digital platforms.
  • Translate creative concepts and briefs into detailed 3D visual solutions.
  • Produce realistic and stylized renders based on project requirements.

2) Creative Development & Conceptualization

  • Participate in creative brainstorming and develop innovative 3D concepts.
  • Interpret sketches, references, and creative briefs into accurate 3D designs.
  • Explore different visual styles, materials, lighting, and compositions.
  • Ensure 3D designs support the overall creative direction of projects.

3) Collaboration and Project Support

  • Work closely with designers, creative teams, project managers, and other stakeholders.
  • Coordinate with production and technical teams to ensure designs are suitable for implementation.
  • Provide creative and technical input during project development.
  • Support the team with 3D assets and visual solutions as required.

4) Rendering & Quality Assurance

  • Produce high-quality renders and visual presentations.
  • Review models, textures, lighting, and compositions to ensure accuracy and quality.
  • Optimize 3D assets for different platforms and project requirements.
  • Maintain organized 3D files, assets, libraries, and project documentation.

5) Innovation & Continuous Learning

  • Stay updated with 3D design trends, software, rendering technologies, and creative techniques.
  • Explore emerging technologies such as AI, virtual reality, and real-time 3D visualization.
  • Propose innovative approaches to improve visual quality and project impact.
  • Participate in training and professional development.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in 3D Design, Animation, Architecture, Visual Arts, Multimedia, or related field.
  • Relevant certifications in 3D design, animation, or visualization tools.
  • 2–4 years of experience in 3D design, visualization, animation, or related creative roles.
  • Proven portfolio demonstrating strong 3D modeling, rendering, and visualization capabilities.

Skills & Competencies (Nice to Have)

  • Proficiency in 3D software such as Blender, 3ds Max, Cinema 4D, or Maya.
  • Knowledge of rendering tools such as V-Ray, Corona, Lumion, or Unreal Engine.
  • Strong understanding of modeling, texturing, lighting, composition, and rendering.
  • Knowledge of Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, and After Effects.
  • Strong creative and visual problem-solving skills.
  • Attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
  • Effective communication, teamwork, adaptability, and customer focus.
