Group IT Business Solution Specialist SAP

Location: Zagreb (Croatia) or Ljubljana (Slovenia) Work model: Hybrid Business process area: Finance and/or Controlling

About the role:

We are looking for a Group IT Business Solution Specialist SAP to join our Group IT team and support SAP ERP implementation, enhancement, and application support activities across Orbico subsidiaries.

This role plays a key part in our SAP transformation journey, contributing to SAP S/4HANA implementation projects and ensuring the effective operation of SAP solutions within the Group. You will collaborate closely with business stakeholders, external consultants, and technical teams to deliver high-quality business solutions and drive continuous process improvement.

In addition, you will provide second-level support to subsidiaries already operating on SAP ECC or SAP S/4HANA, helping users resolve issues efficiently and optimize system usage.

Key Responsibilities:

SAP S/4HANA implementation projects

  • Participate in all project phases, including Business Analysis, Solution Design, Implementation, Testing, Go-Live, and Hypercare support.
  • Analyze business requirements and prepare functional and technical specifications for system enhancements.
  • Configure SAP Finance and/or Controlling modules according to business and project needs.
  • Recommend and implement SAP standard functionalities and best practices.
  • Coordinate and execute testing activities, including integration testing and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Prepare user documentation, training materials, and end-user guidance.
  • Lead and coordinate data migration activities, including:preparation of data extraction tools from legacy systems, support for master data cleansing and preparation, execution and validation of master data migration.
  • Plan, coordinate, and monitor technical cutover activities during Go-Live preparations and production deployment.

SAP Application support

  • Investigate, troubleshoot, and resolve incidents and service requests submitted through the Service Desk portal.
  • Perform root cause analysis and recommend corrective and preventive actions.
  • Support users in the effective use of SAP applications and business processes.
  • Collaborate with technical teams and external partners to resolve complex issues.
  • Identify opportunities for process optimization and system improvements.

What we're looking for:

  • Strong understanding of Finance and/or Controlling business processes.
  • Experience with SAP ECC and/or SAP S/4HANA.
  • SAP configuration and business process design expertise.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to translate business requirements into effective system solutions.
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience working in international and cross-functional project environments.
  • Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating within a team.
