About the Company and Role

We are hiring a Middle System Analyst for our client, a financial company in Almaty.

You will work as part of the development team, helping turn business requirements into clear technical specifications for frontend and backend development and supporting tasks throughout implementation and acceptance.

The role involves working closely with business stakeholders, developers, and other analysts: gathering and clarifying requirements, documenting system behavior and integrations, identifying gaps and inconsistencies, and keeping technical documentation up to date.

AI tools are already part of the development process, and we are looking for someone who can use them effectively in daily work to support analysis, documentation, and routine tasks.

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan (full-time, office-based).

We are offering:

  • Salary from 800,000 KZT net, depending on experience and expertise;
  • Hands-on work with financial systems and real product development tasks;
  • Close collaboration with business, engineering, and analytical teams;
  • The opportunity to develop your system analysis expertise while working alongside more experienced team members;
  • The opportunity to contribute to documentation standards and analytical processes within the team;
  • A team that actively uses AI tools in development and analytical workflows.

Interview Process:

  • HR Screening (30–40 minutes);
  • Technical Specification Portfolio Review. You will be asked to share examples of technical specifications or similar documentation from previous projects;
  • Interview with the Hiring Manager;
  • Job Offer.

What kind of qualifications we are looking for:

  • 3+ years of experience as a System Analyst, Business/System Analyst, or in a similar role, including at least 1–2 years working with financial systems;
  • Practical experience using AI tools in daily work to support analysis, documentation, and routine tasks;
  • Experience in fintech, banking, brokerage, financial accounting, or other financial systems;
  • Understanding of core financial concepts and processes, including accounts, transactions, settlements, and interest;
  • Experience preparing technical specifications for frontend and backend development;
  • Good understanding of information systems, including frontend, backend, databases, integrations, and access rights;
  • Understanding of databases, including entities, relationships, reference data, and constraints;
  • Understanding of APIs, including requests, responses, data structures, and error handling;
  • SQL skills sufficient to write queries and independently validate data;
  • Experience describing business processes using BPMN or similar notation;
  • Experience with screen prototyping or wireframing tools;
  • Experience gathering and clarifying requirements from business stakeholders, developers, and other analysts;
  • Ability to identify missing information, inconsistencies, and ambiguities in requirements and raise them with relevant stakeholders;
  • Ability to organize information into clear, structured documentation;
  • Ownership of assigned tasks, attention to detail, and willingness to develop analytical expertise.

Nice-to-have Requirements:

  • Experience in brokerage, securities, investment, or capital markets;
  • Understanding of securities operations, exchanges, depositories, and related data flows;
  • Knowledge of Kazakh.

Responsibilities:

  • Gather, clarify, and document business and system requirements;
  • Translate business requirements into technical specifications for frontend and backend development;
  • Describe business processes, system scenarios, business rules, edge cases, data processing rules, and acceptance criteria;
  • Document API integrations, data flows, and data processing rules;
  • Work with existing system documentation and keep it up to date;
  • Identify gaps and contradictions in requirements and coordinate their resolution with stakeholders and senior team members;
  • Collaborate with developers throughout implementation and clarify requirements when needed;
  • Participate in functional testing and acceptance of implemented functionality;
  • Validate data using SQL and investigate discrepancies when required;
  • Contribute to improving documentation templates and analytical processes;
  • Use AI tools in daily analytical and documentation work to reduce time spent on routine tasks;
  • Work closely with other analysts and contribute to shared team knowledge and standards.

If you are a system analyst with experience in financial systems who wants to work on complex product tasks and continue developing your expertise, we'd love to hear from you.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
