About the Company and Role

We are looking for an Accountant to join our client, a Kazakhstan-based financial services company operating in the securities and investment market.

This is a hands-on role focused on day-to-day accounting operations and primary documentation. You will work with accounting documents, settlements, bank statements, advance reports, and other routine accounting tasks.

The role would suit an accountant with solid practical experience who wants to continue developing within accounting and finance. Previous experience in financial services or fintech would be an advantage, while experience with securities is not required.

Location: Almaty, Kazakhstan (full-time, office-based).

We are offering:

Interview Process:

  • HR Screening (30–40 minutes);
  • Online interview with the Senior Accountant and the Chief Accountant;
  • Final on-site interview with the CFO;

What kind of qualifications we are looking for:

  • Higher or vocational education in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a related field;
  • Hands-on experience working with accounting documentation;
  • Good understanding of day-to-day accounting processes;
  • Experience with 1C: Accounting 8.3;
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy when working with documents and numbers;
  • Ability to work with large volumes of information and manage several tasks at once;
  • Responsible and structured approach to work.

Would Be a Strong Plus:

  • Experience in a financial services or fintech company;
  • Experience with currency operations and Bank-Client systems;
  • Knowledge of Kazakhstan tax and accounting regulations;
  • Experience with tax forms 200.00, 300.00, 100.00, or 101.04;
  • Experience preparing statistical reports.

Responsibilities:

  • Work with primary accounting documentation and maintain accounting records;
  • Process documents related to business trips, acts, and other routine accounting operations;
  • Handle settlements with suppliers and customers, including supporting documentation;
  • Check and process advance reports;
  • Work with currency payments, related documentation, and bank statements;
  • Support the preparation of statistical and other accounting reports;
  • Ensure accounting documents and records are accurate and complete.
