About the Organization

Now is a great time to join Redhorse Corporation. We are a solution-driven company delivering data insights and technology solutions to customers with missions critical to U.S. national interests. We’re looking for thoughtful, skilled professionals who thrive as trusted partners building technology-agnostic solutions and want to apply their talents supporting customers with difficult and important mission sets.

About the Role

Redhorse transforms the way government uses data and technology. To support this mission, we are seeking a Software Engineer specializing in ServiceNow to help design, develop, and implement an integrated enterprise IT support model for our government Sponsor.

In this role, you will modernize and streamline critical talent and human capital systems—supporting strategic missions across workforce learning, training compliance, foreign language development and retention, job advertisements, selection, and performance management. You will work closely with stakeholders to deliver agile, human-centered ServiceNow solutions that drive efficiency, improve user experience, and enhance mission readiness.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, maintain, test, and document ServiceNow software applications, databases, and cloud services in accordance with industry best practices.
  • Support the implementation of Sponsor-identified objectives and priorities for ServiceNow features, functions, and enterprise reference architecture.
  • Actively contribute to Agile development ceremonies, utilizing Jira for sprint tracking and project delivery.
  • Conduct comprehensive unit, functional, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
  • Implement application security, accessibility, and development standards in alignment with system certification, accreditation, and Risk Management Framework (RMF) requirements.
  • Formulate recommendations that provide business value—emphasizing UI/UX enhancement, reduction of Operations and Maintenance (O&M) overhead, and modernization of web-based components.
  • Adhere to the Sponsor's document management plan, managing application code, data architectures, storage locations, and versioning requirements.
  • Oversee and support Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 service management operations and incident resolution.

Required Experience/Clearance

  • Active Top Secret / SCI clearance with Polygraph (or Sponsor clearance eligibility).
  • 5+ years of software engineering experience, including demonstrated on-the-job experience developing custom ServiceNow applications.
  • Demonstrated experience analyzing and documenting web-based application, system, or service components and associated interfaces (including databases, web services, and APIs).
  • Demonstrated experience interfacing with web-based databases and developing reporting/analytics capabilities.
  • Demonstrated experience executing within an Agile software development framework utilizing Jira.
  • Demonstrated experience utilizing version control software such as GitHub or Subversion.
  • Demonstrated experience managing Tier 1, Tier 2, and Tier 3 support workflows using IT service management systems.
  • Demonstrated experience creating IT documentation, including Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), digital workflows, knowledge base articles, deployment checklists, architectural diagrams, and System Security Plans (SSPs).
  • Demonstrated experience implementing technical solutions consistent with federal accessibility standards.
  • Demonstrated experience supporting compliance or performance management applications.

Desired Experience

  • Demonstrated experience working directly with the Sponsor and partner IT organizations.
  • Demonstrated experience designing or supporting learning, language development, or workforce compliance applications.
  • Demonstrated experience working with cloud infrastructure and platform hosting environments.
  • Technical proficiency with front-end and web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, XML, and JavaScript.
  • Familiarity with copyright standards and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG 2.0 AA).
  • Demonstrated experience creating reports and dashboards using Tableau.
  • ServiceNow Certified Application Developer (CAD) or Certified System Administrator (CSA) certification.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
