📚 NFS Laboratory Assistant (Secondary School – Serangoon) x1

💰 Salary: $2,400/month 📅 Contract Duration: 2 years, with option to extend for another year 🗓️ Contract Period: January 2027 – December 2028 ⏰ Working Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 7:00am–4:00pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break
  • Friday: 7:00am–3:30pm, inclusive of a 30-minute lunch break

📆 Working Days: Monday–Friday 🚫 No Service: Saturdays, Sundays and gazetted public holidays

🎓 Job Requirements

  • Previous experience as an NFS Food Laboratory Assistant in a secondary school.
  • WSQ Food Safety Course (FSC) Level 1.
  • Minimum GCE N-Level qualification or equivalent.
  • Good spoken and written English communication skills.
  • Knowledge of proper food handling, storage and kitchen equipment care.
  • Familiarity with the safe use of cleaning equipment and cleaning agents.
  • Able to follow instructions and assist with basic food preparation.
  • Basic knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel and email.

📋 Job Responsibilities

  • Clean and sanitise Food Laboratories, kitchens, preparation areas, equipment and utensils.
  • Manage kitchen linen, waste disposal and replenishment of cleaning supplies.
  • Receive and organise food deliveries, ensuring ingredients are stored safely using the First In, First Out (FIFO) method.
  • Prepare ingredients and equipment according to teachers’ instructions and support practical lessons.
  • Ensure utensils, cutlery and equipment are complete, clean and properly stored.
  • During school holidays, conduct thorough cleaning, clear expired food, perform stocktaking and update inventory records.
  • Check expiry dates and stock quantities, clean storage areas and prepare Food Laboratories for the new school term.
  • Assist the Operations Manager with other operational support duties during school holidays.
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
