COMPANY OVERVIEW

STACK Infrastructure builds, owns, and operates hyperscale and colocation data centers that power the world’s most ambitious technology companies. With a rapidly expanding footprint across APAC, STACK combines deep development expertise, flexible capital, and operational discipline to deliver critical digital infrastructure at scale.

Our clients include the largest hyperscale cloud platforms. We are building a regional platform defined by speed of delivery, power reliability, and long-term partnership — and we are assembling the team to lead that effort.

SUMMARY/OBJECTIVE

The Senior Critical Operations Technician is the senior on-shift technical role responsible for ensuring safe, stable and consistent operation of critical electrical, mechanical, cooling, controls and life-safety systems. The role provides elevated technical capability, supports first-response incident actions, verifies plant condition after maintenance or resets, and guides technicians in executing operational tasks with accuracy and discipline. This position supports STACK’s 100% uptime commitment through strong operational judgement, trend awareness, structured troubleshooting and the ability to stabilise plant conditions within authorised boundaries. The Senior Technician also enhances shift performance by coaching team members, refining documentation quality and maintaining a concierge-level customer service approach in all interactions with customers, visitors and stakeholders.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform these essential functions.

CRITICAL OPERATIONS

• Support STACK’s 100% uptime objective through disciplined operational control, proactive monitoring and accurate technical response.

• Maintain real-time awareness of plant condition through BMS/EPMS, alarms and inspections, taking timely actions within authorised limits.

• Provide senior technical support to shift technicians, assisting with prioritisation, procedural clarity and execution quality.

• Operate and monitor critical electrical and/or mechanical systems, including UPS, PDUs, switchboards, generators, CRAC/CRAH, CDU/FWU, chilled water systems, pumps and associated plant, strictly within approved procedures and authorisations.

• Perform structured diagnostics on abnormal conditions, apply permitted stabilisation actions and escalate with clear technical detail and recommended next steps.

• Support operational event response, including immediate containment actions, technical communication and accurate event documentation.

• Conduct enhanced rounds including thermal, capacity, vibration/noise, leak detection and set-point verification, ensuring findings are recorded and actioned.

• Identify trends, weak signals and reliability concerns using BMS/EPMS data and provide recommendations to prevent recurrence.

• Manage on-shift work execution with strict adherence to permit-to-work controls, isolations/LOTO, vendor access and operational handbacks.

• Coordinate vendor activities during shift, ensuring safe execution, clear understanding of plant impacts and thorough return-to-service verification.

• Validate operational readiness following maintenance, resets or configuration changes, confirming alarms, redundancy, load paths and expected operating conditions.

• Review and improve the quality of shift logs, event notes, CMMS entries and handovers to ensure accuracy, clarity and traceability.

• Raise and escalate recurring defects, reliability risks and improvement opportunities through appropriate channels.

• Contribute to procedure reviews, readiness activities, drills and documentation improvements with practical, shift-based insights.

• This role does not perform licensed electrical, mechanical or refrigeration work. All trade-restricted activities are completed by appropriately qualified and licensed personnel. The Senior Technician focuses on operational system management, first-response stabilisation, verification and coordination.

PEOPLE

• Set a high standard for safety behaviour, operational discipline and professional conduct across the shift.

• Support technicians through on-the-job coaching, demonstrations and constructive feedback to improve capability and consistency.

• Assist with onboarding and familiarisation of new team members, reinforcing authorised boundaries and operational expectations.

• Strengthen team communication by ensuring clear handovers, accurate escalation details and calm coordination during events.

• Participate actively in briefings, toolbox talks, training and operational discussions, offering practical observations and improvement ideas.

• Hands-on experience conducting operational inspections and first-response stabilisation actions.

• Experience using BMS/EPMS and CMMS/workflow tools for monitoring, work management and operational documentation.

Why it works

3×

more interviews than doing it yourself with ChatGPT.

ChatGPT writes a CV and never learns what happened to it. We see every reply. For each CV we know:

  • How it was written, and how the review scored it
  • When we applied, and how long after the posting went up
  • Which posting, which company, which city
  • Who got the interview, and who heard nothing

That is how we know which CVs get called.
