Nuestro cliente es una compañía estadounidense del sector EdTech y programas extracurriculares, con operación en más de 15 estados en EE. UU. y un crecimiento acelerado dentro del ecosistema educativo.

Buscamos una persona que pueda asumir rápidamente la responsabilidad sobre sus procesos, mantener un calendario organizado de obligaciones y vencimientos en diferentes estados de EE. UU. y tener el criterio para identificar y comunicar oportunamente cualquier inconsistencia en la información financiera.

¿Qué harás en esta posición?

  • Liderar el cierre contable mensual en QuickBooks Online, incluyendo provisiones, ingresos diferidos, pagos anticipados y conciliaciones de cuentas de balance.
  • Preparar estados financieros mensuales bajo US GAAP y el paquete de información financiera requerido por entidades financieras, dentro de los 30 días posteriores al cierre de cada mes.
  • Conciliar la nómina y los impuestos asociados entre el sistema de nómina (Rippling) y el libro mayor.
  • Mantener documentado el proceso de cierre mensual, incluyendo checklists y procedimientos para cada actividad recurrente.

Cumplimiento tributario

  • Construir y mantener un calendario tributario consolidado que incluya cada estado, entidad, tipo de impuesto y fecha límite.
  • Preparar y presentar declaraciones estatales de Sales/Use Tax e impuestos sobre ingresos brutos, así como reportes anuales.
  • Preparar declaraciones de impuestos federales y estatales sobre la renta y franquicias (Forms 1120 y 1065), incluyendo la distribución proporcional de ingresos entre diferentes estados (multi-state apportionment), para posterior revisión por parte del CPA externo.
  • Preparar los cálculos trimestrales de impuestos estimados.
  • Atender y resolver requerimientos y notificaciones relacionados con impuestos estatales y de nómina, incluyendo la elaboración de respuestas dirigidas a las autoridades correspondientes.

Auditoría y reportes financieros

  • Preparar los soportes, conciliaciones y documentación requerida para la auditoría anual de estados financieros y actuar como principal punto de contacto con los auditores.
  • Apoyar la elaboración de presupuestos, proyecciones de flujo de caja y análisis financieros requeridos por el equipo directivo.

¿Qué deberías tener previamente?

  • Licencia o certificación profesional en Contaduría (CPA, Chartered Accountant o equivalente nacional).
  • Más de 4 años de experiencia en una firma de CPA en EE. UU. o proveedor de servicios contables, realizando tanto contabilidad mensual de clientes como procesos tributarios para empresas estadounidenses.
  • Experiencia trabajando con Forms 1120 y 1065, así como con declaraciones estatales de impuestos sobre la renta o franquicias, incluyendo multi-state apportionment.
  • Experiencia práctica presentando declaraciones mensuales o trimestrales de Sales/Use Tax en diferentes estados de EE. UU.
  • Experiencia práctica con QuickBooks Online y sólidos conocimientos de US GAAP.
  • Inglés escrito y hablado avanzado, junto con criterio profesional para identificar y comunicar situaciones que requieran revisión, en lugar de limitarse a procesar transacciones.
  • Inglés avanzado: B2+ a C1, indispensable para interactuar diariamente con equipos ubicados en Estados Unidos. 

Competencias Deseadas

  • Certificación US Enrolled Agent (EA).
  • Experiencia apoyando auditorías de estados financieros.
  • Experiencia en conciliación de impuestos asociados a nómina, especialmente con Rippling.
  • Experiencia en reconocimiento de ingresos cuando las fechas de facturación y prestación del servicio son diferentes, reportes financieros para entidades crediticias o contabilidad relacionada con impuestos de franquicia.
