The posting

As a Software Engineer, you will be responsible for the end-to-end development, delivery, and support of business-critical API-driven platforms and web applications. You will design, develop, enhance, and maintain scalable, secure, and high-performance applications using modern technologies and engineering best practices.

You will collaborate closely with senior design stakeholders, architects, product teams, and global engineering teams to translate business and user experience requirements into technically feasible and maintainable solutions. You will also contribute to engineering excellence by maintaining code quality, supporting CI/CD pipelines, and implementing secure software development practices throughout the software development lifecycle.

This role offers the opportunity to contribute to our client digital transformation initiatives while exploring emerging technologies, including generative AI, agentic AI, and AI-assisted software engineering.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable web applications, RESTful APIs, and backend services.
  • Build and enhance applications using Java, Spring Boot, React, and other relevant modern technologies.
  • Develop secure, reliable, and high-performance cloud-native applications in accordance with established architectural and engineering standards.
  • Collaborate with design stakeholders to assess technical feasibility, provide implementation guidance, and translate user experience designs into effective technical solutions.
  • Participate in software architecture discussions, technical design reviews, and integration activities to ensure solutions are scalable, maintainable, and fit for purpose.
  • Implement and maintain coding standards, automated testing, code reviews, and other software quality assurance practices.
  • Support and improve CI/CD pipelines, build processes, and deployment workflows to enable efficient and reliable software delivery.
  • Apply secure coding principles and contribute to DevSecOps practices throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Troubleshoot technical issues, identify root causes, and implement solutions to improve application reliability and performance.
  • Work closely with cross-functional and international teams to deliver technology solutions aligned with business requirements.
  • Explore and apply generative AI, agentic AI, and AI-assisted development tools to improve engineering productivity and software delivery efficiency.

Requirements

  • Proven experience in software engineering, application development, or a related technical role.
  • Strong programming skills in Java, with experience developing backend applications and services using Spring Boot.
  • Experience developing RESTful APIs, backend integrations, and API-driven applications.
  • Experience with React and modern frontend development practices.
  • Good understanding of secure cloud-native application development, software architecture, and application security principles.
  • Familiarity with relational databases, SQL, and database integration.
  • Experience with version control systems, automated testing, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software development practices.
  • Understanding of Agile methodologies, software development lifecycle processes, and collaborative engineering practices.
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to work independently and manage competing priorities under time and workload pressure.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills, with advanced spoken and written English to work effectively with global teams.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working with cloud platforms, containerization, microservices, and cloud-native architectures.
  • Familiarity with DevSecOps practices and automated software delivery pipelines.
  • Exposure to generative AI, agentic AI, large language models (LLMs), or AI-assisted software engineering tools.
  • Experience working in a multinational organization or collaborating with geographically distributed teams.
