About the Role

We are looking for a hands-on Technical Software Delivery Manager (SDM) to take end-to-end ownership of production support, technical solutioning, and new feature delivery.

This is not a traditional Project Manager role focused mainly on timelines, coordination, and task tracking. We are looking for someone with a strong software engineering background who can independently understand business and production issues, propose practical technical solutions, communicate directly with Singapore-based clients, and lead development teams through successful implementation.

The ideal candidate combines technical expertise, client-facing communication, problem-solving, and delivery leadership.

Key Responsibilities

Technical Solutioning & Delivery

  • Analyze production issues, business requirements, and new feature requests.
  • Translate business requirements into clear and practical technical solutions.
  • Evaluate technical feasibility, dependencies, risks, and implementation approaches.
  • Provide technical direction to developers throughout design, development, testing, and deployment.
  • Review proposed solutions and maintain technical oversight to ensure delivery quality.
  • Take ownership of issues and deliverables from requirement clarification through production implementation.

Client & Stakeholder Management

  • Act as a key technical point of contact for Singapore-based clients.
  • Conduct requirement discussions and clarify business and technical needs in professional English.
  • Present proposed solutions, implementation approaches, timelines, risks, and dependencies clearly.
  • Manage client expectations and ensure alignment between client requirements and engineering execution.
  • Provide clear and timely updates on production issues and project delivery.

Engineering Team Leadership

  • Work closely with internal development teams, with day-to-day technical discussions primarily conducted in Chinese/Mandarin.
  • Guide developers on technical implementation and system design decisions rather than simply assigning and tracking tasks.
  • Facilitate communication between clients, business stakeholders, and engineering teams.
  • Identify delivery risks and technical blockers early and drive them toward resolution.

Requirements

  • Solid hands-on background in software development (Java SpringBoot)
  • Experience in a Software Delivery Manager, Technical Delivery Manager, Technical Lead, Solution Lead, Engineering Lead, or similar role.
  • Strong understanding of the Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and production support processes.
  • Able to independently analyze technical problems and propose end-to-end solutions.
  • Strong experience translating business requirements into technical implementation.
  • Comfortable working directly with clients and managing technical discussions.
  • Strong problem-solving, stakeholder management, and delivery ownership.
  • Professional/fluent English – required for communication with Singapore-based clients.
  • Fluent Chinese/Mandarin – required for day-to-day technical collaboration with the internal engineering team.
  • Able to work independently in a remote environment.
