Voor een van onze klanten, actief binnen een complexe industriële productieomgeving in regio Hoboken, zoeken we een Automation Engineer die mee vorm wil geven aan toekomstige automatiseringsprojecten.

Functie omschrijving Als Automation Engineer analyseer je bestaande productieprocessen en onderzoek je hoe deze door middel van automatisering efficiënter en slimmer kunnen worden ingericht.

Je bent betrokken vanaf het eerste idee tot de technische uitwerking en overdracht aan het engineeringteam. Daarbij combineer je technisch inzicht met een kritische blik en werk je nauw samen met verschillende afdelingen.

Jouw verantwoordelijkheden:

  • Analyseren van productieprocessen en identificeren van automatiseringsmogelijkheden.
  • In kaart brengen van behoeften en uitdagingen door overleg met productie, engineering, IT en EHS.
  • Kritisch evalueren van bestaande werkwijzen en voorstellen van technische verbeteringen.
  • Onderzoeken van mogelijke automatiseringsoplossingen en beoordelen van hun haalbaarheid.
  • Opstellen van uitgebreide technische en functionele specificaties.
  • Samenwerken met interne engineeringteams en externe leveranciers bij de ontwikkeling van oplossingen.
  • Uitwerken van businesscases waarbij je de technische en economische meerwaarde van projecten onderbouwt.
  • Overdragen van goedgekeurde projecten aan het engineeringteam en waar nodig technische ondersteuning bieden tijdens de implementatie.
  • Je hebt een technische achtergrond en relevante ervaring binnen een industriële productieomgeving.
  • Je beschikt over een goede kennis van industriële automatisering en begrijpt hoe productieprocessen werken.
  • Je denkt analytisch en kritisch, stelt bestaande processen in vraag en zoekt naar haalbare verbeteringen.
  • Je kunt zelfstandig projecten voorbereiden en technische oplossingen uitwerken.
  • Je communiceert vlot met verschillende stakeholders, van operatoren tot engineers en management.
  • Je spreekt vlot Engels. Kennis van het Nederlands is een sterke troef.
  • Ervaring met technische specificaties, haalbaarheidsstudies of businesscases is een pluspunt.
  • Kennis van robotica, IoT, Industrie 4.0 of andere automatiseringstechnologieën is mooi meegenomen.
