Grensarbeid zoekt voor Daelzicht in Heel een begeleider van mensen met een ernstig meervoudige beperking.

Werken met mensen met een ernstig meervoudige beperking (EMB) is zoveel meer dan verzorging. Je biedt structuur, comfort en ondersteuning maar bovenal maak je échte verbinding. Bewoners communiceren op hun eigen manier – via bewegingen, geluiden of mimiek – en jij leert hun signalen begrijpen. Soms met woorden, soms met een gebaar maar altijd vanuit oprechte aandacht. Zo creëer je geluksmomenten die het verschil maken. Dit werk raakt je, elke dag opnieuw.

Mensen met een EMB hebben intensieve zorg nodig. Sommigen zijn volledig afhankelijk van hulp, anderen kunnen nog zelf eten of kleine handelingen verrichten. De ene bewoner heeft autisme, de ander moeilijk verstaanbaar gedrag of dementie. Daarnaast komen vaak fysieke belemmeringen voor zoals doofheid, slechtziendheid of spasmen en sommige bewoners zijn afhankelijk van een rolstoel. Dat vraagt van jou als begeleider dat je dagelijks verpleegtechnische handelingen uitvoert. Het netwerk rond de bewoner speelt een cruciale rol: de familie, begeleiders en vrijwilligers zijn al jaren betrokken. Maak geluk van je werk In je werk is het belangrijk om ‘klein te kijken’: signalen oppikken, emoties aanvoelen en contact maken op manieren die niet altijd met woorden gaan. Als begeleider kijk je naar wat wél kan. Je neemt initiatief om de bewoners een veilige, warme omgeving te bieden waarin zij zich gezien en begrepen voelen. Een blik van herkenning, een klein gebaar of een ontspannen moment – jij maakt het verschil in hun leven. En zij in dat van jou.

Waar ga je werken?We hebben regelmatig vacatures voor diverse woongroepen in Heel en in Koningslust. Daar liggen woningen op een beschermd terrein met weinig verkeer. De woningen zijn aangepast aan de behoefte van de bewoners met een EMB. Ook maakt een aantal bewoners gebruik van dagbesteding in de nabije omgeving.

Jij bent:

  • zorgprofessional met een diploma richting Zorg en welzijn, op minimaal MBO niveau 3, zoals sociaal Pedagogisch Werk (SPW), Maatschappelijke zorg (MMZ), Verzorgende IG of Verpleegkunde. Je hebt affiniteit met verzorgende taken.
  • geduldig, oplettend en daadkrachtig.
  • empathisch en in staat een goede sfeer neer te zetten.
  • creatief en ziet vooral mogelijkheden; ‘wat kan wél’?’ horen we je vaak zeggen.
